I set up my 200w 3000k induction light yesterday got pimp light levels with my 2 300w led units

Oh and if I run cfl`s for uv I run them the whole day even a 12% uvb light can not put out more uv then sunlight even at 1" from the source, but that 200w induction has was more penetration then cfl`s do, but it still can`t come anywhere near to the new led lights I have @1m the induction is hitting 500 to 700 on the light meter where as the leds are closer to 1800 both together and I get an even 2000+ over my whole flowering area.

That being said they do say to keep a cfl reading light more then 6" from your head as some people got bold spots from them and they can also cause headaches too from what I heard I like to put them 1" if the plant needs the light but I move my plants daily when using cfl`s or move the light to another spot every day or 2 to not cause uva damage.

And the light balance is nice like a daylight with a lot of purple (blue/red from the leds)

Girls look fantastic brother p-diddy, developing very nicely. 5 weeks you think on the anubis? I'm not familiar with this strain/breeder, is it indica? sorry if it was mentioned already. keep up the good work! Awesome thread by the way, even getting picked up in other countries, impressive!
thanks brother puff..........It's a Indica dom hybrid for sure/ how much? idk...VG, the anubis grower, says they(squatty he doesn't know) may finish 5 weeks from now(looking at the pics), I think longer honestly........when you starting back up puff/ new lights??????:)

Talkin about " happy leaves " .....
Blue color means high PS rates...
yellow to red means low PS rates....

Two trees illuminated at night from one hps street lamp....
These plants have almost 24/24 light,over/above them....

Which of their leaves are ..."happier ",at this case ?

The erect ones or the flat ones ?
The erect produce more or the flat ?

..
To erect or not to erect ?
That's the question ...
(chlorophyllosophy ..... )
GREAT info SDS...........thank you....the picture makes it pretty conclusive.

As long as we're sharing HOT5 pics let me see if I've got any pics layin around from my last run on HOT5...Here we go

I called it the Ethopian strain. Not much on yield and not much on quality but sure ate up a lot of light.

Well my brother are you proving the Hans panel is as good if not better than the competitions? Vast improvement over the last grow...lol. Like me I believe you have said "F@#*!" Auto's give me some real plants. Your ladies are lookin pretty stellar, like the room improvements too. Subb'd and catchin up.
NO AUTOS!!!!!!!!............thanks, You've improved your grows/rooms on a whole diff level brother/ some ace shit that hempy project......I still believe the Hans panel is one of the best pre-built led fixtures out there...........grab a chair

ROFLMAO You get like what, $120.00 an eighth for that shizzle, right?
I'd pay $85 an eight for that shizzle;-)

Thanks for the info, was just an odd strain name so wanted to find out about it. Guess the original grower doesn't even know...whenever they finish they finish regardless of what he says. Hope to be back in the groove of things around February. Don't think I'll get anything new right off the bat, just waiting on the new light from fero as the prize from the last competition (thanks again endur0xX!). Also kind of just waiting to see how some of next year's lights are looking.

Yeah, was hoping you'd be in the competition this round. Next one hopefully. I forget you're a philly fan, geez what happened to the eagles this year? I mean seriously, I haven't heard any explanation. It's been a crazy season for sure. My niners lost yesterday to the god damn rams, tied them a few weeks ago, and lost yesterday, both because of your team's old shitty kicker missing game winning field goals!!!

Are you going to stay 13/11 the whole time?

Howdy!

Subbed! Friggin'A Awesome grow goin' here. I'm a relative noob to indoor growing (3 grows: 2cfl, last one t5HO, all micro). Consider myself gifted with beginner's luck to this point. Just starting to catch wind of this PAR business and really like what I'm sniffing.

Was all ready to start buying exotic t5 lamps to swap out my current setup that consists of a 3:1 mix of hydrofarm blues/reds depending on VEG or BLM. THEN I caught wind of induction lighting, specifically the mixed phosphors in the inda-gro unit. I think I'm hooked. The efficiency of induction seems pretty tough to beat.

Not sold on LED; seems like pheasant hunting with a platoon of .22s instead of one .410.

So here's my current problem (there's always something, isn't there?): The tent I'm in is a Secret Jardin DP90 (24Lx36Wx24H). I told you it was micro!
With a total of 24" of headspace do you think I can stuff in a Pro 100-PAR, a 2 gal. smart pot and a 24x24 SCROG without setting something ablaze? :fire: How much heat does the unit generate? I chatted with the Big Cheese over at Inda-Gro at length yesterday (5* cust. svc. AWESOME to talk to the president of the company, U.S. made, REALLY dig it!) He was absolutely convinced I would be tickled with the results I could get with the unit in a 4 sqft. footprint, but stopped short of endorsing it within my overhead confines. He suggested I come over here and check out your grow!

I've been hanging my hat in another forum for my stealthy comradeship in this DL hobby we all share (I'll call it "CrassGitty", I know most of these places don't like publishing the names of the competition) but I think I'll spend a little more time over here these days!

So with using it yourself, what do you think? Too much heat for such a small space? Should I stick to the relatively narrow t5s until I can deploy a taller tent? I WISH I could find a retailer here in Boston where I could see one in action and not have to go by videos and people's comments...

Thanks in advance to anybody offering any feedback whatsoever to my half-baked ramblings! In PSU's words, 'Stay safe and Happy growing!'

I'm sure with adequate airflow that light should be no problem in there. Just keep your plants in line and you should be fine.

The only thing I'd do differently: Instead of a SCROG in that small area, just tying your plant down. Perhaps Main-Lining? Just with previous experience, it's annoying to weave my big clumsy hands in a small scrogged area to tie something down (especially if it's towards the back of the tent and I don't have 360 degree access).

Good luck, I'd love to see a PAR100 grow... Please keep us up to date!

The grower knows this strain....but TBH unless pyramid seeds comes in here and tells me same, I'm thinking they'll go longer. Ah yes your prize fero light, will probably replace your ds200??....Yeah I'm excited to see EH's new panels(not one teaser pic by EH!!!) and other new quality gear. Feb can't come soon enough to see you back at it Bro...........

Don't know where to begin w the Eagles/ we need a good house cleaning first...........Why do you think we traded our best franchise kicker(in team history) to you?? started missing too many clutch field goals..........have fun in the playoffs:P

Yep 13/11 straight through......have had mixed results in the past......giving it another shot

Howdy back!!...........well 24 inches max height with two gallon smart pots!! first I would bring your container heights down by using one shallow/very wide container instead. Second pick a HEAVY indica dom strain that stays short, training-topping is still a must(like Hilo said LST will be better in those small dimensions)and you will need to readjust your tie downs all the time to keep it short. The inda-gro 100 should work in the winter with no exhaust, still need great air circulation though....In the summer you will need to exhaust due to the bulb and driver heat........I wouldn't dismiss using leds in that cab/especially remote driven ones..........Inda-gro also allows for a remote driver option(i think), that may be something to look into cause it will give you three more inches of height/ and remove some of the heat....good luck

Yeah, I'm kind of taking my time in designing the new lights, almost ready though......

The reason I take my time, I like to brainstorm a lot, and like to sit on an idea for a few weeks or more just to see how and where they could possibly evolve.

Because this next series of lights (2 models) will be replacing everything in my catalog, they need to be right the first time, and also needs to be future upgrade-able. Once the mould is made, there are no cheap do-overs.

Expect them to be available in January/February 2013.

Sounds great EH (2 models=2 different moulds??;-)".........still no secondary lenses on these new models right??

ILP's cheesedream @ 48 days since germ under the Hans led panel(65watts):

005.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg012.jpg010.jpg011.jpgwell what I initially though was a slight overfeed has actually turned out to be a phosphorous deficiency(classic P def IMO/ started as tip necrosis and spread along the edge/ affected leaves have purple stems/moving from older to newer growth/etc.) .....not adding anything yet(I just top dressed w high P-K ferts!), will give her another dose of plain aerated water/ check the ph to confirm it's not a lock/ see if it gets worse....It is a mobile/macro element def so it should move fast throughout the plant's leaves....if major spread occurs after the plain water ill give her a ACT/flower fert feeding.......also bent the main cola down again.........Anyone think it's something different???comments welcome!!!
