nah thats mustard gas type stuff. nasty shit as well.Do you have any references for the skin-melting phenomenon? I've never heard that associated with cholinergics, even in massive overdose. cn

Oh. OK. The vesicants can do that, but it's still slow even if you bathe in the [word].nah thats mustard gas type stuff. nasty shit as well.

I appreciate the clarification. I had a moment of professional uncertainty. cnYup, I believe I was mixing it up with HL in retrospect, which is a pretty nasty vesicant, and an alkylating agent both. Good eye!
Was running it through my head, hesitated.. then thought 'hmm, second guess.. go with the gut based on memory'.. and you were right =) I have no issues admitting I am wrong if I really am, tis the mark of a good discussion.I appreciate the clarification. It's all the same to those we fight and all our enemies who want us second guessing, and think its safe. WW2 and the Cold War is over. Peace dividends.umm yea thats what I said. DPNK = trolls that are not scarey. Iran/Syria = Will actually press the button as soon as they get it.
sure them helping syria/iran is bad and is scarey because those camel jockeys (oh god thats racist) are to dumb to come up with nukes without a little asian influence.
But DPRK by itself isnt going to hit the button. no way.
But, what is to stop anyone from launching MERS bomb. You know, flesh melting bacteria. Perfect follow up to radiation burns, right? Was running it through my head, hesitated.. then thought 'hmm, second guess.. go with the gut based on memory'.. and you were right =) I have no issues admitting I am wrong if I really am, tis the mark of a good discussion.
Dispersing biological/chemical agents effectively and efficiently is surprisingly hard. <add> Unable to find what "MERS" means via Google. Closest match is MRSA, and I don't see that being a worthy war bug. Distribution of soap would largely negate a bomb's effects. cnBut, what is to stop anyone from launching MERS bomb. You know, flesh melting bacteria. Perfect follow up to radiation burns, right?
Any form of flesh melting/eating bacteria would only take the problem from bad to pandemic in the blink of an eye, depending on what type.. That said, how much radiation - assuming one survived the rad count count.. which 4-8krad is sustainable by most who don't have an already weakened immune system given that's the range they use for most types of chemo.. and 10krad is deemed fatal, would be a fine line to walk - one I'd rather not experience either, given that the 4-8krad is designed to hit a specific target in chemo, not the whole body at once. But, what is to stop anyone from launching MERS bomb. Iran hasn't attacked anyone in over 250 years.DPRK just isnt a really good boogey man. China will slap them if they do anything to dumb.
Iran/Syria are much scarier because they actually wouldnt mind world destruction.
Un wants to hang with rodman, hes not going to get himself blownup. Just bluster for the oldschool generals he has to impress.
FWIW. There is a munition fuze technology called this but not a bomb as such.Well, if get your point we would not waste MERS bombs at ground zero, but only at the ring of LD 80 to LD 20 range.
Yeah, I can see that.
Remember tho, the aliens have air superiority.I checked the news, I am amazed at how little they say. It was just "N. korea is angrier" and they left it at that, like not even a full minute on the topic, no mention of any of the actual activity. Also I had no idea anyone had that kind of chemical weapon you guys were talking about, I hope to god it never comes to that, I'll fight fallout and even nuclear winter and looters and everything else, but once they start throwing out some bio or chemical shit, I'm done.
We have our plans set, lots of reading done, and tomorrow I'm getting a decent chunk of cash to put towards buying a few things that should help if anything were to ever happen even in the far future if this blows over. We're also going to do a couple quick drills tonight once it's darker out
How strange, I was taking about the bacteria of course. A bio-bomb to despense MERS, but without the mers fuse...would not be prudent.FWIW. There is a munition fuze technology called this but not a bomb as such.
