So I guess the US's threat of "You BETTER help us fight terrorism by going after those we consider terrorists OR we will view you as aiding and abetting the enemy." was just talk? Did Assad go after Al Qaeda and Al Nusra TOO much? Again, I've read several times that the "rebels" used gas initially and that the Assad military used them in response, on a larger scale. Isn't that how war works? So if Assad and his military DIDN'T go after the rebels we could invade because they were aiding the "enemy"? And we're wanting to send arms to help our "enemies" fight Assad? And NOW we want to missile strike to help those that fell the Twin Towers?

You don't understand successful battle tactics do you? I doubt that the Assad regime gassed it's own people that supported them. They went after those supporting Al Qaeda/Al Nusra and those giving them shelter or aid. If a neighborhood was rife with rebel supporters they likely gassed the neighborhood. Isn't that the same tactic used by the US with drone strikes in Afghan and Iraqi villages?
