Could very well be. No bs, I had allot of issues while using the FF. The grow big does really good. With added cal-mag, I would run into issues when I would enter the flowering phase. The plants would always show sign of either calcium, and or magnesium or both! So I then had to increase my Sensi bloom cal-mag (flowering) nutes to the mix. It fixed the issues I was having. I just don't understand why they don't add that shit in though!!
I thought that at first, but 4 diff. strains???????

I hear that.. Me personally, I would put my name behind the General Organics any day of the week!! I'm telling ya, in my years of growing I've tested a TON of nutrients lineups. Those Ive yet to have a issue with. Been wanting to try out the ph free nutrients. Hell, that would at least save me $ from having to purchase the ph up and down + the tester liquid.
Sorry bro, my bad.
The stuff I got is from HR, not GH.
http://www.hydroponic-research.com/
There's a thread here somewhere, the guys use it, and I've seen some REEEEEALLLLYY nice grows, but it hasn't worked very well for me, and if I had to look at the numbers without trying it, I wouldn't expect it to.
As far as the PH up/ down, I've switched from what I was using, and now using the shit from the pet store in a 2 oz. bottle or something for like 10 bucks, and for me, I only use 2-4 drops per gallon to come down from 7+ to 6.6-6.8, then I add my nutes.
Due to color, IDK what the PH MIGHT be after nutes, so I don't bother to check it, but I do fine.

But, I don't use the FF as my primary nutes, I just add some of this, some of that, in addition to other stuff.
If I thought about it while I was out someday, I might snatch up some MG bloom shit and try that.

016.jpg018.jpg020.jpg022.jpg024.jpg gave her 1/4 strength nutes 2 nights ago!!!! still working with 133 total wattage of CFL's. she sure is growing good especially if you've seen her from a seedling. Strain is WW. i plan on topping once she stretches out and also maybe doing some LSTing.. and as well as scrogging. she popped soil on the 26th of November she is only 20 days old.....

thank you :D and of course i will carry on... its my thread journal :D
Nice man, I started one in the South African growers thread, just to keep it alive, very lonely thread, but hey, I like talking to myself, hehehe. Also I wouldn't put much stock in what I say, apparently according to unclebuck (another user) I not very well liked here. Nothing new there though, nobody likes me, lol.

You would do well to steer clear of UB - he's king troll in these parts & not well liked by any other than his loyal minions.

Yeah I am tired of him. So that's what I am going to do in future, pity because some of the threads are very good, but then they get trolled, I was hoping to learn new things not only about growing. I am a bit disappointed as I was hoping to replace this forum with the one I just recently left, it was also getting like this, insults flying about peoples wives and mothers and daughters, I don't like that much, call me whatever you like but leave my daughter out of it, it shows no class at all....... anyway I posted something similar another thread too, so whose trolling now, lol. But thanks for the heads up man. A bit sad now, going to go walk on the beach. Keep it up chiefs, I will pop in now and again to see how you doing if that's ok?

The reason for not re-using soil is simple, you can state you re-use it all you want but in reality if your flushing out soil your only using a bi-product of your original mix and adding fillers to it, and while this May give some people great results it In fact is not as guaranteed to provide you with as standardized results. A new mix will contain exactly what you put in it every time, and nothing more, if you research anything about sustainability you will find that soil degradation while amended by adding organic matter is often not a long term solution (as in less standardized results, if you can state that every single one of your crops you did the same exact thing with everything else and nutes, grew the same plant under the same light, you will come back to your soil affecting your overall weight, and while this may be higher on some odd runs it is often based on other factors contributing to a grow, not primarily your soil).

Potted soil is not technically soil at all. It is a close approximation of the real deal comprised of lightweight fillers to aid drainage, and organic matter that provides nutrition and water retention. This substitution is necessary as soil from the garden will become compacted in pots and rot your plants’ roots. Nutrients and organic matter leach out of a pot much faster than they do in the ground or a raised bed. By year’s end what’s left in the pot is primarily filler with very little nutrition if any at all.

Reuse

In the springtime, just before planting:

Replenish depleted potted soil with organic matter such as compost or manure. Add no more than 25% organic matter to 75% old soil. Compost is dense, so using too much can lead to that compaction you are trying to avoid. Vermicompost, aka worm poop, is a lightweight, nutritionally balanced additive (approx. equal (N) nitrogen, (P) phosphorous, and (K) potassium) that I prefer for containers. Start a worm bin and make your own!
Add more fillers such as coir (coconut husk fiber), grit, or perlite if the mix feels too heavy.
Slow-release fertilizers are also good additives that won’t weigh down the mix. I always add kelp meal by the handful to help plants deal with the stresses of container life as well as crushed eggshells, which add both calcium and act as grit, and fishmeal for nitrogen and healthy leaf growth.
Diseases can carry over so do use fresh soil with disease-prone crops like tomatoes, or in pots where disease was previously a problem. To avoid spreading disease I practice crop rotation between pots, using the old mix for tough herbs that are better suited to poor soil.

cannabis in itself is prone to diseases, some strains in particular, so you can state I'm stupid all you want but most people I presume would prefer to have standardized results and prevent a level of disease retention entirely. I'm sure if you completely flush your mix and leave it composting for a month before reuse as is advisable your soil will be sufficiently effective, but if you were growing on a commercial scale or doing a perpetual system within a small space that might not be an option
Really :??: Hmmm.. I've been re using my soil now for atleast 2 years! Lmao.. I just re add in new soil here & there, that & mix in compost from my box (summer months) and I haven't had any issues, knock on wood.. They may want to re think that post.. lol.. As long as the grower adds back, then it'll be all good. There isn't any reason to keep purchasing high $ bags of soil every grow. Just NO need. Lol.. Unless you just have $$ to watse and throw round..

If you're saying you cannot reuse/recycle soil, then I imagine your plants are pretty piss poor with your lack of knowledge. And why create this ranted on how you shouldn't be reusing soil, when you turn around and TRY to give information about if you want to reuse it. I rather you stay away from the thread, but I'm not in position to make that call.

I would love to see your standardized plants, with standardized results over the course of even three grows...

From my small perpetual method, if I didn't reuse soil, it would cost me up the ass to continuously pay for dirt every grow when I can get "standardized results" without having to. Commercial growers are not going to be using soil that will change grow to grow like soils with already added amendments, such as FFOF. They would use something that they can use over and over, and just keep the feeding consistent.

I think your argument is completely wrong for the most part. I think you should think and learn more before you post a long post like that when you even said yourself people will call you stupid, it's because you are...
