What are the Pros&Cons of the cool tube?

I use a hood with the glass removed, I also grow in a open room with no need for cooling... that being said...if your growing in a tent theres really nothing wrong with a cool tube BUT like others have said they do not reflect as well as a decent hood. with the tent the mylar walls help...

    switching to 12 / 12

temps are not as issue with me so I run 12/12 from 8 am to 8 pm.....like someone said above if temps are not an issue, and people seeing lights on in your shed all night is not a issue then you should run light cycle when your around and let them be dark when you are at work imo..this way if you...

    Seedling issue I've never seen

could it be a overwatering issue? try laying off the love for a few days and allowing them to dry out a bit. as seedlings they don't drink much at all so you shouldn't even have to water for weeks to a time if your temps are in the 70's. if they are higher watering may become more frequent but...

Any guess to whats going on here?

wow topped off 4 days ago and went and checked water level and they were down about 1/2 way....topped off again and added some nutes. started small and added about 2 tblsp to about 1.5 gal of water to top off and only brought the PPM up to 425 >< so I added another glug and brought the PPM up to...

    Replacement for Earth Worm Castings

Again I was talking about OVERHEAD.....this is the cost of materials AFTER you make you initial investments and get up and running. Soil or hydro everyone has to invest in the basics to get going..my nutes will last me forever, my water IS free from the ground. and you need water with soil too...

    Replacement for Earth Worm Castings

??? what overhead do you have with your hydro grow? I have water and nutes, water is free and have enough nutes to last 10 more grows or more...with the amount I grow I could make a bag of FFOF($20) mixed with a bag of pro mix($20) and amended with Epsoma garden($12) tone and EWC (free) last...

    Replacement for Earth Worm Castings

I honestly wish I could afford to grow in soil still but it gets really expensive. after you dial in nutes and stuff for the hydro and get equip there literally is no overhead except new nutes when you run out.

Any guess to whats going on here?

I have a entire 32x32 grow tent not being used full of equipment not being used lol.....I very much like the KISS method. hopefully in the next grow I wont be so pressed for time and I can actually grow out a nice big plant and train it well. I must have spent around $3000 on equipment and if...
