Hey Reb, when you say your running Northern Lights by MCS, I assume you mean Ministry of Cannabis Seeds. Do you have the autoflower or photoperiod variety? The two have different flowering periods.

For whatever reason a lot of seed breeders advertise flowering periods shorter than what is needed. A good rule of thumb is add an extra week or two to the harvest. If its a 56 day strain i would cut it at day 65 or something. Let them go at least one more full week.
