    Reusing organic soil???

Yes, keep using the soil. I think what you're planning should work pretty well. Did you notice any specific issues, or did you have any problems with your first grow? Or did you have any specific symptoms, like yellowing because you ran out of nitrogen or little brown spots were you ran out...

    My clones are super sad

Maybe "need" was too strong a word. That's just what I do.

Plants in different stages keep developing fully red stems, leaves turn yellow and droop. Water experts get in here!

Well, yes, there may be a negative impact, but a it's a minor, short term, small negative impact on some microbes in the soil. They repopulate before it's a problem for your plants(citation needed). Using reverse osmosis water seems to cause lots of more serious problems, more often, directly...

    My clones are super sad

Opinion Newly potted clones need to develop roots to feed from the soil and growth healthy and strong. Roots grow in the night, so clones need dark hours. Try a 20/4 or 18/6 light schedule to give them some night time and see if they improve.

    Organic soil questions

I agree. If the plants are looking good, don't sweat it.

    Ph lockout magnesium

How big are your pots, and have you had the plants in the same pots the entire 10 weeks? Besides messing around with pH and flushings, what have you done to the plants or fed to the plants? Like have you been using any nutrients or anything?

Wondering...can I make any standard "universal soil" into "light soil" by flushing it?

I think it's better to "water down" hot soil with extra peat moss or perlite so you have less nutrients per gallon. I'm not sure you can't wash everything out of soil like that.

Curled up leaves and burned tip.. What am I doing wrong?

The first set of leaves on young seed plants contain nutrients that were in the seed. When your plants are small, before they develop strong roots and start taking nutrients from the soil, they take nutrients from the first, lowest leaves. So a few weeks in your plant can be 100% cool, but the...

    My pathetic organic grow

Just to touch on what Richard Drysift said, compost, worm castings and bacteria and fungus are very important. You need those good microbes to break down the amendments in your soil, to make nutrients available to your plants and to stabilise your dirt. Without the bacteria and mycos the...

Watering with fabric pots and a "water only" medium

Yes, use the regular trays and let you pots soak up any run off. It's common for water to run out the sides before it gets to the bottom of fabric pots.

    Tips for denser buds

How did your plants look near the end, during the last half of flowering? Did you have any yellowing or spotting on your leaves? Or did a lot of leaves drop off or anything? Basically were your plants well fed and healthy up until you chopped? Sometimes my soil runs out 4-5 weeks into...

Plants in different stages keep developing fully red stems, leaves turn yellow and droop. Water experts get in here!

I think you should try not using the ROed, pH water. Chloramines in your water are not a big deal. They won't sterilize your soil. If you're super anxious about them bubble your water for a day or two or something to ease your mind. The plants you showed in your other thread look deficient...

Plants in different stages keep developing fully red stems, leaves turn yellow and droop. Water experts get in here!

Have you tried just using your water without filtering it and adding pH up? What's in your soil? If it's "Super" and full of amendments you shouldn't need fish hydro or kelp feedings during the veg stage. Also, drowning small plants with water in big pots can cause problems. It sounds...

What else to add, just started flowering.

You could do an all in one mix like Happy Frog Fruit and Flower, or Down to Earth Rose and Flower Mix, or Dr Earth Bud and Bloom Booster. Following the directions on the box, minus a little. Or a custom mix of stuff like crab shell, kelp meal, bat guano and gypsum. Like a teaspoon or two of...

    Sciatica anyone?

I've read that compression on your spine can cause sciatica. And the compressive forces on your spine mostly done from your own tight muscles. Like tight, short glute or thigh muscles cranking down on your lower back. So you can relieve the sciatica by loosening up tight muscles. Here are a...

Using stones at the base of a pot

I totally agree about final pot only for the rocks. Also aeration/drainage is good too. I wouldn't want to talk anyone out of extra perlite.

Using stones at the base of a pot

I put 2-3 inches of Lava Rock in the bottom of my pots. The roots grow into the rocks and almost air prune themselves. Instead of spiraling around the bottom of the pot they form a thick mat all around the loose rocks. There is way more surface area for drainage, and I believe more room for...
