    Fresh air intake needed?

That sounds kind of stupid from someone growing in DWC. If you run a decent airstone then there is plenty of O2 in the water for plant roots. But if you stick your whole head in that same water for 10 minutes you're dead. And if you don't use an airstone in DWC your plants will not do well...

    Fresh air intake needed?

I think all schoolkids know this. So what is your point? It is irrelevant for us growers when it comes to having a sealed room yer or no. But thanks for the info! The rest of your post I don't really understand, but that's ok. Just this: Creating a room sealed in such a way that no smell will...

    Fresh air intake needed?

That is irrelevant for growers. A plant will never produce so much CO2 during the night, that it will raise the level of CO2 during the day. And it will also never produce as much O2 that it is enough for the roots. That would be a perpetual motion and that is also impossible in biology...

    Fresh air intake needed?

I know most rooms have it. I also know that sometimes people do it because they don't understand enough of what the plants need. People think that plants need 'fresh air' even when they are adding CO2. And in itself it is true, but it is not true at the same time. The gasses plants need are...

Meijiu MJ-650 Alibaba LED vs Nanoluxx 1K DE HPS. Side by Side Experiment

I think if you would check VPD the right way (so including the leaf temperature) you will see that on one of the sides of the room, the VPD is higher or lower then optimum. So that can have a huge impact on how the plants will develop. Which will not say much about the light being used, but more...

    Fresh air intake needed?

Perhaps I did not write it well. Apologies for that. But you would not need venting at all. I know people do it, but there is no reason for it. The reason people do it, are mostly because of controlling the smell. So that has nothing to do with the CO2. If you have other ways to control the...

It is the same as a tent. So it doesn't make any difference for the statements I made.

    Fresh air intake needed?

I wouldn't call it 'venting'. Even in a sealed room there are always tiny holes that air will slip through. And with growing cannabis where it is not legal, most growers will need some kind of under pressure, to prevent smell to escape. But if you don't care about the smell, and you do have AC...

    Thailand Passing new Medical Law

Yes, they make fine silk as well. They also grow a lot of rice But doing business with the silk or the rice traders is a whole new ball game. Their food is delicious, and not only enjoyed by hipsters. But most hipsters who eat it in Thailand are tourists. The country is run by the military and...

Meijiu MJ-650 Alibaba LED vs Nanoluxx 1K DE HPS. Side by Side Experiment

I love experiments. But an experiment must pursue a goal. By hanging 2 different light sources in 1 tent, the outcome will not be very clear. These light sources are so different that they each require a different climate. They need other values - for example temperature - to perform at...

    CO2 experts... what say you?

I doubt it that such a calculator does exist. In professional greenhouses where they add CO2 grow for example tomatoes in different stages. So very young till ready to harvest. They all get the same amount of CO2.

Control odor & sterilize your room air + surfaces 24/7 + eliminate PM

Ah, but let's say one would not have a carbon filter in the room, then you could run it 24/7? How many of these devices are you running at the moment? Will you keep us posted about the results. I am very interested in how they control viruses. As I understand you even are gonna run a higher RH...

    Which device do you use?

I've got one of these. Costed me about $ 3.00 including shipping. I made this pic of an 'a' printed on paper with it.

Control odor & sterilize your room air + surfaces 24/7 + eliminate PM

The smell is the least of my worries (but I am aware for some this device could help as well). But I am very interested in a device that helps prevent Botrytis (toprot) and Mildew. Costs a lot of money if you fall victim to it.

Control odor & sterilize your room air + surfaces 24/7 + eliminate PM

If the device does what they say it does, then it is almost kind of a no brainer to get it. Of course it is a lot of money, but the if have to pay $ 3000 and some additional costs each year to never have to fear toprot and PM again... easy choice. They are attacking insects with UV-C, but that...

@Renfro What is the price for the smallest unit? And do you know if it has any impact on insects? I guess not, but can always ask :)

Water usage per 4 x 4 per day. How much?

So what do you think they will drink at the peak on a 4 x 4 per day?

Water usage per 4 x 4 per day. How much?

Seems there are 3 of those on 4 x 4? So about 4.5 to 6 gallons a day at peak? I assume this is not only evaporation that took place through the leaves, but also evaporation of the water in the open tray? That is not a lot on 4 x 4!
