for the light you have right now and are running get some screw eyes for the sides of the grow area and mount them up high and then use string to mount your light so it is adjustable ...then put it down 2 or 3 inches from the top of the plants .. as for the cfl's ... you want 6500K for...

this is more into the realm of advanced LST but have you ever split the *Y* ...what i mean is not just tying down the main plant but tying down the different branches in different directions to not just make more colas and bud sites but to open them ALL up to light evenly ?? bongsmilie

first off in a basement the humidity wouldn't be too low it would be in the high range... i suggest hitting up walmart for one of those little temp/humidity thermometers they are like 5-10 bucks and see just where your stuff is at ...you might need to vent it better to get down heat and...

what i do is i look for male with the traits i want and then pair it with a female of the traits i want then then i harvest the pollen in a plastic bag by covering the plant then shaking off the pollen an do the shake and bake pollinate thing...just cover the female with the pollen filled...

pushing for light (reaching) is caused by lights too far away...drop a cfl about 2 inches off the top of them and watch them get happy and fat :)
