I could use some advice for an LED light.

Platinum LED is crap. It's no different from Mars Hydro and whatnot except for a fancy package and a focus lens in front of each monochrome. If you can't put the money into cobs, I'd go with cheap monochromes (like Jubilant linked) or with a traditional HID (HPS, MH). The quickest of searches...

    Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.....(Jack Herer X AK 47)

Oh, you're the green poison guy aren't you? Good indica, would be great "weed", but not really what I'm truly looking for. I've smoked generic "weed" for a decade... having both Green Poison and that puffy Jack 47 on hand at the same time really defined the difference between Indica and Sativa...

    Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.....(Jack Herer X AK 47)

I also did the green poison fast version. These are good plants, 100% germination rate and 0% hermy, I also like how easy they were to bush up. With that said, I found the variation to be quite an annoyance. Would have been nice if they were able to reduce it down to something more consistent.

    Sweet Seeds "Jack47" FV.....(Jack Herer X AK 47)

The puffy buds are the best smoke! I grew this, two plants. The fluffy buds gave me exactly what I was looking for... Jack Herer esque mood lift. The dense buds//midget plants were more of a sativa high minus the happiness. I'll grow the real one next time, I bet it's more like the puffy buds...

WHY IS TRANSPLANTING FROM SMALL TO LARGE POT IMPORTANT?

As said, it's difficult to keep a seedling appropriately moist if you germinate in your final pot. With that said, I have a small grow, always use fem, and always germinate in my final pot. Your plant might not look picture perfect after a week, but it will recover quickly.

Regarding Coco DTW! ~Urgent help needed~

Plugged in my autopot system a week ago so... I'm here to gloat. The only work I've done since mixing the nutes was hand watering the organics today. Autopots are worth looking into, only my first run with them, but so far they're easier than soil was.

"Do you have a little or a lot?"

Yeah it was my apartment. I moved from a migrant/hispanic neighborhood where nobody cared to a very quiet neighborhood, so it took me some time to adjust. On smell... simply using a spoof (carbon prefilter mesh & dryer sheets inside of a pvc pipe) and not doing it in the room next to the...

"Do you have a little or a lot?"

I didn't answer the question. Looked at him straight in the eye and asked if I was under arrest ("being detained" is the appropriate term I think). The answer was "no". He tried to ask the question again, implying that if it's a little (it wasn't) it could be dealt with (rofl). I looked...

    Tent to light space

As long as you don't have a temperature issue, 1" would be fine. I used one of those infrared heat guns to make sure I didn't have any problems. Edit: What I'm trying to say is, temperature is your limiting factor, rather than light distance from the top of the tent.

"Do you have a little or a lot?"

I had a run-in with the police in very illegal state. My guess is he was 80% sure I was in possession of marijuana (because of the smell) when he asked me: "Do you have a little or a lot?" (paraphrasing) Is this what they're teaching in cop school these days? It's a pretty good question, the...

Brand new to this, but should I post on here if my area is not grow friendly?

Don't be stupid and hook up a proper carbon filter. I am here out of need. My last dealer ripped me off pretty badly and the only other source would require me to "smuggle" it between states in an extremely high security area. This is my smartest/best option and I've become somewhat fond of it...

    Autopot Medium

I have ordered my perlite and coco, I'm more comfortable with perlite anyways. I appreciate you guys helping me clear this up... I got tired of mixing my nutes 2-3 times a week in soil and am hoping to get to a once a week situation.

    Autopot Medium

Thank you, both of you, I'll be doing coco and making the decision on a perlite mix in a week. Any reason you chose hydroton over perlite at the bottom? That seems to be my last issue.

    Autopot Medium

I'm doing two feminized RP Strawberry Banana with an autopot* + Heavy 16 + Aptus grow. It seems like I have a few medium options: Straight Coco with clay balls at the bottom Coco/Perlite (Anywhere from 50:50 to more perlite seems to be popular) maybe Coco/Perlite with clay balls? Both are...

Jack 47 Fast (Sweet Seeds). Soil, Indoor Tent, LED

If anyone's still following... I did have two unique phenos. One had extremely dense, but weak, buds (aka ruderalis dom). The other had gigantic and fluffy buds with a very strong sativa effect (aka sativa dom). It has now been at a constant 60-62% for eight months in a sealed jar... I keep my...

Anyone try the Auto Pot easy2grow kit

You're supposed to treat it like straight coco (hand watering) until the roots reach the bottom. Then mix your res, hook it up, and let it do its thing. I hope we get someone in here who has actually used it, I have a lot of questions.

Anyone try the Auto Pot easy2grow kit

I just ordered an autopot system... two pots, each with their own valve. These easy2grow systems combine two pots per valve and you save a few bucks. Regarding zero dissolved oxygen, adding a bubbler is a popular remedy. However, from what I gather, it increases your pH substantially over the...

    Diatomaceous Earth

Same, it's amazing stuff. My only issue is being sloppy and getting it on the leaves while sprinkling, it's really hard to get that stuff off once it's been deposited onto a leaf.
