Maybe so, but there isn't anyplace around here that sells the expensive soils, and as for Scott's, my plants have done well in it for being a "lesser" soil.

Quality has nothing to do with the number of blades on the leaves.

I grow perpetual. Currently have White Widow, White Rhino, LA Woman and Sour Cream in the veg room, and Train Wreck and Moby Dick in the flowering room. I'll be planting again in a week and a half, probably Lemon Skunk.

I only use Scott's Premium Potting Soil, from Home Depot - been pretty happy with it. I mix extra perlite in it as well.

Mind if I sit down? I'm interested to see how this vertical flowering does.

Well if you're leaving on the 22nd, that gives you close to two weeks for sex to show before you go - they should definately be showing by then.

The first one I can't say for sure, but the second definately looks male, to me. Maybe wait a few more days to be 100% sure though.

There is no set rules for when and how much to water. Myself, I water when I don't feel any moisture roughly two to three inches into the soil, at that point I water (slowly) until the water has saturated the pot, and starts to come out the bottom.

tea tree, what percentage rate of germination do you get doing that? Have you had any seeds drown doing it this way?

Yep, if pieces are missing, somthing is eating your leaves. Check them over very close - make sure you look at the underside of the leaves, as well - caterpillars like to hide there.

As long as you're paying your bill, you should be fine. No need to go in and start explaining the increase either, it'll just make you look guilty.

You're going to have to exhaust the hot air somewhere. Even if it means cutting a hole in the wall, or door, you can't really get around it. How are you getting fresh air in, if the room is sealed? They have to have fresh air as well.

I would say yes, most of the time, topping does increase your yield. If for no other reason, because after topping you have however many colas closer to your lights, versus one main cola recieveing the benefit of the lights, and lots of small popcorn buds.

Honestly, it depends. Some strains will give you an increased yeild with topping, but some don't like it and it will decrease your yield.
