I don't know that you could neutralize the bacteria, without also damaging the seedling. You could maybe try a bit of hydrogen peroxide when you water. I know the hydro people use it, to help aerate roots and control bad bacteria, maybe you can too.

You could try, but it would be tough. It'll stretch out badly to start with. Plus you only get 21-14 hrs a day light in the winter, so it owuld be like 12/12 from seed, almost. Lastly - hope the sill is wide enough, when she starts to bush out, to remain there.

Here are a couple pics for you. I don't know how long it takes for the pollen sacs to mature - but it isn't overnight, so you have a little time to know for sure if it is, in fact, male.:leaf:

Agreed, let her dry and she'll be fine - other than the drooping she looks healthy. If you aren't sure when to water, stick your finger into the soil about two inches or so, if you feel any moisture - wait to water, until it feels dry. Then when you do water - don't measure it out. Water enough...

The seeds will be predominantly hermie.:leaf:

I'm no expert at judging illness, but she looks overwatered to me. Does her container have drainage holes? Are you allowing her to dry out between waterings?

That's different, may I ask what gave you this idea? lol Well, my opinion is you'll wind up with some bacteria you don't want, since that's decomposing food. I don't know - gonna have to watch and see what happens.:lol:

In which case, your question doesn't really make sense. Whatever you have in mind - do skip the foil, use mylar, instead.:peace:

I second that. I can also add that so far, my current grow of plants from GHS feminized seeds (well and one freebie fem) are 5/5 female.

You can get a set of 12 quart size canning jars at Wal-Mart, for around $12. Or, you can clean out your own jars - like jelly jars, spagetti sauce jars, pickle jars, etc. Just be sure they are really clean, food/smell all gone.
