Wow - that is the youngest I have seen sex on a plant yet. Definately male. If you have no others you could keep it to see if it's a hermie - but all my hermies grew pistils first, and then balls.:peace:

You'll need two spaces, one for flowering, but you can put the vegging/cloning in the same space. I have two areas - don't do cloning but I do perpetual growing.:peace:

Perfectly normal. here's one of my 3 week olds, she's maybe - four inches high? The largest fan leaves like to poke out regardless of how tall it gets.:peace:

It's been my experience that the younger the plant, the better they handle transplanting. Anyway - as long as you were gentle, and didn't rip off the roots, it should be fine. If it goes into shock it will look kinda limp and lifeless for a few days, but should recover, no worries. :peace:

Yeah I always take my dead ones off too, rotting vegetation can leave ya with a whole new set of problems.

Nice buds!:weed: Well, without looking your strains up, I would say - if your freebie is an indica dominant strain, grow another with it, and vice versa for sativa - that way they will stay of a similiar height under the light.:peace:

I believe you want to go for the overall package. Strain/age of the bud, color of hairs, how far they have receded back into the bud, and trichome color. If you don't have a microscope, you can grab a cheap handheld one from RadioShack for twelve bucks.:peace:
