Rhino, I started mine in 16 oz cups and moved them to the buckets and outside when they were about 2 weeks old. By then they were 6"tall and the leaf canopy was as wide as the cup. When I took them out of the cups, they were pretty much rootbound in the cup. I had not watered for a couple of...

    Many questions on outdoor growing

    1. The plants will only grow so big in the cups because the roots become bound. The roots are going to be as deep as the plant is tall, and as wide as the leaf canopy. I started plants in 16 oz cups, then transplanted to 5 gallon buckets and moved outside when they were 2 weeks old, 6" tall...

    Is this enough Direct Sunlight?

Obviously more sunlight is better. I've seen some on here say you need at least 4,5,6,7......hours. I have a grow going and I think I get around 6. My plants are doing good so far. The less sunlight, the less the yield. But, if you can't grow anywhere else, it will be more than you'll get if...

    Deep in the woods

Like Robert Paulson said, you don't want to clear too much and and make an opening obvious from the air. But like ThinkSayMakeDo said, sun moves from travels east to west. You will not likely find an opening that you won't have to do some trimming. I actually looked on Google Earth to try to...

    Deep in the woods

Well good luck. Maybe you could get a little perlite to mix with it to help with drainage. A lot of people on here dig holes, with my buckets the ultimate plant size and yield is limited. If you dig a large enough hole, there really is no limit. But, I feel like I have more control. If you...

    Deep in the woods

See the fencing in these pictures, it's plastic and really cheap. You can nail to adjacent trees. Deer can jump over this fence, but deer tend to take the easiest route. I have not had a problem yet, and we are crawling with deer here. FYI date stamp on photos is not correct, I took photos...

    Outdoor Bucket Grow!

These plants were started in 16 oz stadium cups and transplanted to 5 gallon buckets. They are just over 6 weeks old total. I drilled 10 or so holes in the bottom, and put a layer of gravel in the bottom of the bucket to help with drainage.

    EastCoast Usa NC,SC,GA Growers

yeah, I thought about it. But, I'm just going to go natural at this point. When I think of Sativa I think tall with a big main cola. I haven't seen anyone indicate on here that the yield is higher if you top, you just spread it out.

    Pc grow case using soil

Looks good so far. There is a guy on here that is the king of PC grows from what I've seen. His name is v12xjs He has a very long journal that describes a perpetual grow systme using a PC case. He grows 12/12 from seed and uses LST. He usually has 3 plants going at one time at different stages...

Thanks Rhino, I don't think you are too late at all. I hope your's grow as fast as mine. Good luck and I'll keep my eyes open for your posts. Maybe we should just start a Kaya Gold thread. Oh, I guess I already did. Feel free to post some pictures on this thread.

Thanks Sonar. I saw the weather report tonight, and they say we can switch our umbrellas for sunglasses. I started them in a 16 oz stadium cup, but they outgrew that in two weeks. I had a filing cabinet set up with (5) 26 watt cfls. After a couple days, I started putting them outside for a...

I'm guessing they are a little under 3ft at this point. How tall they will get, I have not clue. Nirvana says they grow tall. I guess if they are close to 3ft at 6 weeks old, who knows. The 5 gallon buckets should limit their height I would think

I couldn't find too may people growing this strain on here. Husalife had a grow journal last year, he said they did well. He had a mold problem, but it was rainy when they were flowering. Like I said, I decided to go with the strain because they are supposed to be hardy, takes harsh...
