It's not? I thought curing was the process of removing moisture from the center of the bud, while allowing the chloraphyl and other unwanted stuff to get out.
I just wanted to know when would be a good time for an accurate measurement. i'm almost done hang drying, and id like to have an accurate assessment on how much weight i've got. But some people saying that they cure for over a month. I dont mind curing itself, but i'd like a decent figure before...
they look about right. the only way to know 100% is to get a jewelers loupe and check the color of the trichomes. Next round try to keep your temps down, the leaves folding in look like they're getting too much heat stress.
Can I weigh all my buds as soon as i cut them from the branches after they hang for an accurate measurement? Or do I have to wait a certain amount through the curing process.
maybe if it is just as strong, perhaps i should cut it with some plain vermisoil. I dont mind addint nutes in flower but the ocean forest was just too strong for small clones i think.
Edit: maybe I could try my hand at layering? bottom 2/3 could be vermifire while top 1/3 is vermisoil so i can...
when you call them let me know what the price is and your state if you could. Im going to call tomorrow as well, but im not paying $25 per bag like i've read some other people are.
what state are you in?
you can check the website, it has a retail finder, there are 2 in my area in michigan.
Would you recommend the vermifire if im a newb and might not be that good at spotting deficiencies and treating? I'm worried because I know one of the 3 strains i have coming are going to be nutrient...
Well i've done a lot of googling, and a lot of reading over the past week, and the general consensus seems to be, if you don't prefer foxfarm soil, you should try roots. I think thats what i'll go with and see what I end up with.
Am I going to have to feed more often with roots than ocean forest? I'm not really use to looking for deficiency. I suppose i'll have to start learning to spot that. Other than the crispiness and some yellow/brown nutrient burn, all of my leaves have been a nice deep green, never showing signs...
I didn't feed them until about week 2 or 3 of FLOWER, and as far as i can tell the soil burned them just a little in veg. Not much, not big brown spots, but the leaves to all of my Yoda OG's were... how you might say, cripsy?
How would you compare the roots organic to ocean forest? I'm either...
The burn happened because I requested "low nutrient, low maintenance" strains, but the same person also recommended pure ocean forest. It was just too much for a small clone that doesn't need much food.
