A "trouser snake?" Hard to find any horticultural hits for a search on Google for that one.

High Light efficiency tests (TEKNIK) - 2.47 umol/j CRI 94.2

What's a few umols among friends? I don't live in a .005% world. I am going along for the ride and learning a lot. You'll have to post some bud porn from under you new photon generators. Thanks for sharing where TEKNIK is posting.

    Cutter Cree Strip Tests

The Vesta strips seem to perform beyond their photon count for sure. I bought 6 Cutter 3000K/90CRI strips and I'm happy with the performance also. I've used them on cuttings, young plants and flowering plants. I like the advice of Dali Hempy, "Be humble and let your plants teach you." My...

    Cutter Cree Strip Tests

Do you want to build a light that does it all, or is it just for flowering? IMHO either of the 90CRI choices would make a great flowering light.

High Light efficiency tests (TEKNIK) - 2.47 umol/j CRI 94.2

Please provide a few details for, "...the results were over 20% lower at comparable LED currents." Inquiring minds want to know.

High Light efficiency tests (TEKNIK) - 2.47 umol/j CRI 94.2

I like your observation, "...Optisolis is not Nichia's brightest diode..." Kind of begs the expression for some, "Ahem...well, he's not exactly the brightest LED on the board...if you know what I mean!"

So Gen 3 about 10%ish better than Gen 2?

    Using and Testing Vesta Strips

You have probably seen TEKNIK's tests of the High Lights on: https://www.rollitup.org/t/high-light-efficiency-tests-teknik-2-47-umol-j-cri-94-2.989161/ It APPEARS that the Vesta 2.7K spectrum and efficiency are quite comparable to High Light w/o UVA. What do you think?

    Using and Testing Vesta Strips

So I looked on Digikey and Arrow for any 90CRI F or H Influx strips:(...nope. BUT, Cutter has some cheap 90CRI photons for sale. Check out the graph. Plenty of blue and (like the Vestas) a nice red peak about 625nm. You wouldn't need to buy any added 630nm leds!

    Using and Testing Vesta Strips

I have not flowered under both 80 and 90 CRI. I have used mostly 3000K/80CRI and 3500K/80CRI. Both are good all around do-it-all combinations...In my opinion. I had heard so much about the 90CRI LEDs that I tried the Vesta strips because it was a low cost way to get started. Cobkits says the...

"High Lights" - high powered, CRI95 flowering boards made in Australia

Just wanted you to know that I was one of the guys who sent him a free led strip to test. I asked him. He did not ask me. And he did a free test (which would be quite pricey if I had to pay for it) and the results were posted on my thread for all to benefit by. Just saying.

Agreed. Coco is much better than vermiculite.

DIY LED light strips. Which is best?

As mentioned by Whytewidow, your Viso tests were on the 3500K/70CRI strips (might be time for a new set of glasses for me). The 2.59 umols/J is quite impressive for $10ish USDs, and from a real-world test. I have looked at the JB3030 data sheets. Any ideas how there is such a disparity...

    Cutter Cree Strip Tests

I was just asking your subject comparison. So I'm taking it you're saying it is basically a tie. I know The Dawg tried a 5K grow and was happy with it. I think it's human nature, but eventually in almost every thread someone gets their panties in a wad, and the name calling starts. Then a...

DIY LED light strips. Which is best?

Yes, I saw Teknik's 1-page summary on the test he did, but I think that was a different strip. The strip in question has 112 JB3030's on it in 3500K/80CRI. Cutter SSK-1560-35CR So even at test current of 65ma the Cree spec sheet says 181 lm/watt. That is the JB3030 at 3500K, 80CRI, 33lm...

    Cutter Cree Strip Tests

So have you used 5K long enough to make any observations? Finish time vs warmer 3K-3.5K LEDs? Yield better/worse than warmer LEDs? Quality?

DIY LED light strips. Which is best?

The 30 watts, 700ma and 191 lm/watt is from their site. The 2.8 umols/J is from a conversion factor using QER and LER. (191 * .015 = 2.865) So it's not exact, but close. *If you find the thread, please share it, and check out the Cutter link and see if the numbers look legit.
