    Plants too tall

Hold on a minute.... has it finished stretching?? If so... why are you looking to bend or break anything? Leave it alone. Arguably the biggest advantage of using LED vs HID lights is their ability to grow top quality buds even when they're virtually or literally touching the bars.

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

No problem. When I get a bit of spare time I'll link you to some plants which have been overfed N and show how it's affecting the development. Rather than wasting a plant and your own time on it.

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

You WILL see extra leaf grow. You won't see leaves growing where no leaves would grow, but you will see the leaves in the bud develop more and thicker if you use enough nitrogen during the bloom cycle. There's only one way to find out my friend. It won't be a complete waste of a plant either...

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

I know for sure how it'll turn out, but you don't. So if you want to find out what it's like to grow a load of leafy burned bud then fire up that test area.

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

You've taken my point out of context. Plants should stay healthy green, but the yield and quality will be better on a plant underfed nitrogen than overfed it in the final stages of bloom.

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

If people re cutting out nitrogen at the beginning of flower they'll run into major problems. That I agree with. That's not a clever thing to do. For the first half of the flower stage the plant needs pretty much the same nitrogen it did during veg. The issue is when people up their base feed...

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

No, N is not benign. It will have a serious effect in the flowering stage to the point where it will ruin a crop. A plant can take the required nitrogen from its stores during the final week of bloom where it is just swelling out the calyxes. By that point you have built the yield you are going...

HortiBloom 650W Mega Plus ? Any review ?

Nice one. So what are you getting in par with it down to about 5 hundred?

    Nutrient Burn VS Potassium Deficiency

For future reference, that picture posted is of a plant with severe nute burn. It was probably in soil which was already on the hot side, and the added epsom salts burned it If you're ever in any doubt about whether a plant is over or under fed, the only thing to do is to flush it through with...

    Pyrethrin or Spinosad? In flowering...

Isopropyl Alcohol diluted to 60% kills spider mites. Not a lot of growers know this. It's amazing really considering the value of crops and the issues with testing, but if used properly will completely destroy them, and at a strength which doesn't kill the plant.

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

P is much more benign in the flower stage than N. You'll get a better finish with yellowing plants underfed nitrogen than you will plants overfed it. It's the only element which can compleely fuck the quality of your harvest. Keeping your plants green is not the priority when you're at peak...

    10-30-20 or 10-50-30 for flower?

It's also the most overfed Macro element in the flower stage and will cause buds to not reach their full potential. It's more common to see plants being overfed nitrogen than underfed it. In general horticulture it's an established practice to switch to flower specific ratios or ingredients...

Hortibloom Mega plus VS Geekbeast 630 Pro. Help me decide

I got the geekbeast in the end. It's due to arrive in a few days. I'll probably get the hortibloom as well and run them side by side. Should be an interesting comparison. This is my first order from Alibaba, What are the import fees, when will I get them plus how are they billed and how do I...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Bud density isn't all to do with light though. A lot of growers use too much nitrogen in their bloom feed to ever get good solid flowers. forty watts p/f should be more than enough for solid buds.

Hortibloom Mega plus VS Geekbeast 630 Pro. Help me decide

That is interesting actually. How a plant "sees" light and uses it. I had tight sizeable buds growing in between the fixtures on the run pictured in the OP, where if you put a meter facing directly upright it would register a number which shouldn't be able to grow anything except fluff. This...

    Mistake light schedule flowering

That's fine. Better that than having their dark cycle interrupted. Just make sure you leave it off til 9 then carry on

How far to keep your LED's / Quantum Boards from the canopy?

If you're hunting a baseline then you need the other variables. You need to know the Rh and temp of the room, the feed strength and the nutrient ratios. And then you need to know the power of the light and how close it is to the canopy of healthy vigorous plants You also need to know what light...

    Lux to par graph/conversion

Get a cheap lux meter and use the numbers in relation to the plant health to give you your estimate about where they need to be. As long as the meter's readings are consistent it doesn't matter whether they're scientifically accurate at all if you think about it. If you had a tape measure which...
