    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

So I checked my soil PH for the first time this grow with my cheap PH probe. It says I'm right in the neutral range. That's a little high I think. I should have mixed in a little more lime in my soil maybe. Perhaps I should check my water and add a few drops of PH down for the rest of the grow...

    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

i am in 5 gallon buckets too. at this point they are root bound and i have to water them every other day. the cluster bomb fan leaves are fading fast. i just worry that the root bound plants need some nutes. on the other hand i think this is just part of their life cycle. i think you are right...

I'm in that nervous "do i need to feed them more or do i need to feed them less" stage.

    Small Legal Colorado Skylight Grow

That's awesome Baxter! Having a skylight to grow under would be great. Keep posting, I want to see how it all turns out. I'd like to be able to get clones as well but for now i think I'd have to get a medical card to buy them. Growing from seeds sucks.

    Small Legal Colorado Skylight Grow

I grew mine from seed. I call it the runt because it got a slow start indoors and i threw it outside just for the hell of it. It's now 4 feet tall and in 5 gal bucket. I hope it will flower but i'm next to a major road and have big street lights around me. It's in fox farm soil and every other...

still can't the get the camera to cooperate under the HPS light. plus somebody said the magnetic ballast can mess with the camera sensor. anyway..things are still OK. haven't killed them yet. definitely getting a musky mango baby poop smell in the tent. love it!

    Fruit flies

I'm guessing you have gnats. gnats are usually just annoying and always seem to be around. this time around i got a bunch of yellow and blue sticky traps and put them in my tent for a couple of weeks. i also have a pretty strong fan blowing on my plants as well. i got probably hundreds of them...

    electricity use monitored?

agreed! don't worry about it. i run a 1000 watt light (or two 400s, etc) and lots of fans and have been doing it for a long time. you'll be fine. the power company just wants their money. and as mentioned above, people have aquariums with high watt HID bulbs. i've heard orchid growers use them too.

How do i feed my plant nutes?

wow! so you are growing in soil right? how many plants in how many containers, what size containers, what soil, and what sort of light? this is not hydro. if you are growing in good dirt i don't think you need to do any of that stuff. i never run water out of my pots. i never check my PH.

How do i feed my plant nutes?

jezz, you're either messing with us or not listening. if you are not flowering use grow big - period. after you flower use big bloom. they are not meant to be used all at the same time.

    flush info

I agree! based on experience. I stupidly flushed too much too often on one grow and totally messed it up. I think i flushed good nutes out of my containers and threw the biologic balance off. they all turned yellow and i had to chop them early. I never flush anymore. When I water i try to not...

How do i feed my plant nutes?

jeez, the instructions are on the bottle and on the website. however, you use only grow big during the vegetative phase. When you flower your plants you switch to big bloom. tiger bloom is used during the flowering stage too. if you throw all that stuff at once at your plants you might have...

Is it a good idea to remove large fan leaves?

Those are some big leaves! What strain of plant is that? IMHO I think the consensus is leave the big fan leaves. They are the light gathering power for the plant. At times I've just tucked mine sideways under the buds sites. After a while they tend to droop and start to yellow and then I remove...

    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

That's the auto-ak47. It's well past it's 70 day finish time and it has about 50/50 red pistils but it seems to be getting fatter and fatter every day and the fan leaves still look dark green so I think I'll just leave her alone for a while. I don't think she's ready to give it up yet!

    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

Still working on how to use the camera and set the white balance etc etc etc. My plants are almost 36" tall from the floor to the tops. I still have 16" of space between the tops and the reflector. Plus I can still raise the whole light another 12" or so. So I'm feeling pretty good about...

    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

Thanks JD! I've always wanted to try a SCROG grow but was concerned about the big screen and how i could water and prune and clean in such a small space. Good luck!

    Cluster Bomb/Royal Flush/Liberty Haze/White Widow Gro

Regarding my fungus gnat irritation. I bought a bunch of new yellow/blue sticky traps and put about 10 of them on the floor of my tent for about a week or so moving them around occasionally. After a few days all of traps had a lot of gnats on them. Probably hundreds of them total. That seemed to...
