    Wecome to the jungle

The unknown indica that received the EG Catalyst, is ready for harvest. She'll probably get the ax tomorrow morning since the soil is already dry. The humidity is so low, drying will take place in a closed cardboard box. Here's what ripe looks like:

    Nute burn? +rep for opinions

Only pull fan leaves that are 50%+ gone. I only saw like 3 in those pics that were that bad. Leaves feed the buds during flowering.

    ready? (trich's checked)

Not all strains are going to look like the ripe kush in those pictures. But I do wait for 90% brown hairs, and at least some amber, which is consistent with what Zeuss says. :joint:

Concerned About Size and Leaf Coloring

Yellowing isn't a sign of too much nutes, but not enough nitrogen. You're PH may be a little low for the strain, and blocking some nutes. Since you already raised the nutes, I'd try raising the PH a couple points. The lights could also come down a couple inches. :joint:

Question on effect of stunting on flowering plants. Please help

Stunting will add weeks to your harvest, but once they recover the buds will grow normally.

    Very close.. a couple questions

    1. Dead plant material, doesn't photosynthesise. I remove leaves as they die. 2. There's no reason to continue with molasses. There's plenty residual in the soil. 3. Your low PH is probably due to the Molasses. It's very acid. I wouldn't try to correct it this late in the game. 4. After...

    Wecome to the jungle

I hope you all are having a good Holiday Season! Ripening seems to be taking forever. I'm not sure how many weeks it's been (13?), but I expected them all to be finished by now. The 2 unknown Indica look ready, so maybe they'll come out this week, but I'm still not seeing as much amber on...

Can I use a MH bulb in my HPS ballast?

If it's a magnetic ballast, between 250 - 400w - you could use a Philips Retro White CMH (ceramic metal halide) bulb. It's the best veg bulb on the market, and half the price of most conversion bulbs

+rep for clone stretch experiences during flower

Theoretically a clone shouldn't stretch - any more than the original mother - becuase it's a genetic duplicate... If this is a clone from an unknown indica mother, you won't know what the normal plant height is until you see it. I'd LST to be safe Hope that helps

    Another $1.1 trillion spending spree!!!

Here comes civil unrest: Moody’s warns of 'social unrest’ as sovereign debt spirals Britain and other countries with fast-rising government debts must steel themselves for a year in which “social and political cohesiveness” is tested, Moody’s warned. By Edmund Conway Published...

    Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) Thread

Usually the horizontal is the one you want. Unless you have a vertical fixture or want to hang it vertically Just be sure to order the right one, or the bulb life will be limited

    Exhaust question?

You get what you pay for. The cheapest you may be able to get by with is a $30 duct booster from home depot, but it's going to have to exhaust out he ceiling without any duct bends

    Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) Thread

CMH bulbs do throw less heat, than HPS, but I still have to keep the plants a few inches away. You should also wear eye protection, when working close to them, because they also put out a lot of UV. These CMH bulbs (retro white) come in 250 and 400W only, and come in 2 varieties -...

    Need advice.

5000 lumens per sq ft is standard, but you could probably get by with half that if you plan to transplant in a few weeks.

Al Gore's ridiculous statements "earths core is millions of degrees"

The temperature at the center of the Earth is around 12,600 degrees Fahrenheit. But Gore should feel bad, because Obama was $2 Trillion off on his budget. If you believe the government can control the weather, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you/.

    Camera advice

Check out the Canon Powershot A480 Digital It's cheap $200 but has lots of great features, including super-macro - for those killer bud closeups.

    Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) Thread

See the first harvest in my journal for the results. And stay tuned for the next few weeks for a HPS comparison. I haven't seen a lot of difference; Like you said there is a little more leaf to trim, but more resin production = more potency. The buds are less dense though I think. The plants...

Why did Obama win the Noble Peace Prize?

Jeremiah 6:14 "They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace." They're just fulfilling prophecy, before the time of the end (of this age). :fire:
