Well, are they anywhere else in the house? or just near the plants? if they're just near the plants they're probably paracitic and will eat your babies.

Thanks for all the advice guys, i'll pick up the new soil that titelist suggested and a meter. and i'm gonna just go with the flow and not 'over-care' the plants. What should I do with the sprouts once i've got new soil? just plant the whole soil ball into bigger pots? Thanks.

Well, i don't know anything about rockwool, but if it's soaked (dripping wet), it's probably too wet and you could be drowning the seedlings. that's just a wild guess though, i have no idea how rockwool works, just that too much water is a bad thing.
