    Grow Tents - Comments,Opinions,Reviews,Size,Specs Etc

Go for a good one. The cheap ones will fail you. Zippers will break and light will leak in if your lucky, your entire tent will colapse under the weight of a single light and filter if your not(this has happend to TONS of ebay tent users, lol) Spend the exta $, it's worth it. You don't need...

    DTW coco

It has worked suprisingly well for me. The DE wlll definitely get rid of them rather quickly. It shreds them to peices when they try to fly in or out of the top of your soil-bad azz

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

OK-so light leaks don't cause plants to hermie, but stress can and light leaks=stress. New growers-take my advice or don't. The pickles around here forget they were cucumbers. Light leaks, even a pin hole indoors, will create stress and they are best avoided. Or do what I did, think it's...

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

Well, the stain I'm running is known to be sensitive to light leaks-only 4 weeks into flower, btw. LIke I said, it's never happend to me before so I let my gaurd down, now I feel like an idiot. I'm not really arguing with anyone, just sharing my experience and what happend to me because I...

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

I shouldn't of said hermies-if a plant is a hermie that is usually genetic. If a plant throws nanners-that is stress related. Big difference between a plant being a true hermie and a plant trying to self pollinate itself due to stress, i.e. light leaks/etc. And yes, were talking indoors...

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

C'mon guys, this was for newer growers so they don't over look such a simple thing. It's hard enough for them to identify nanners or even realize what is going on before everything get's pollinated. I'm sure you will see TONS of people who have had crops ruined by light leaks...I think...

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

P.S - fixed all light leaks, removed all male parts, and so far so good. No signs of male parts in last couple days. So hermies can't ruin a crop?

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

Yes, headband is VERY prone to doing that with very little stress/especially light leaks. I never had an issue with what you mentioned above, leaving lights on stoned-pin hole leaks-etc. It's why I made the post. I knew light leaks can cause hermies, but I never had an issue with it till now...

Would this work as a grow box ?

As long as you have a fan circulating air and you visibly see leaves rustling fan placement is usually space dependent. Fit it where ever you can as long as you can visibly see leaves moving. Leaves absorb the co2 immediately around their surface area. It doesn't take long for them to use...

Would this work as a grow box ?

Not with light escaping, that's all good-you won't loose much from a pin hole or bottom a door. But if light leaks INTO your grow space you'll have issues. it JUST happened to me, so now I'm on a mission to spread the word. There is so much info when your starting to grow but the importance...

    Plant with calcium issues

You don't have to cut off any fans because of deficiencies. I know they look ugly but at 6" you shouldn't be removing any leaves. When they get bigger and have more leaves on them, feel free to remove the 'ugly' ones if you want. Some people will tell you removing ANY leaves is bad, but...

    Know your Enemy: Light Leaks

Just wanted to make a quick post, hopefully it might help someone. When starting to grow and looking at canna forums there is a lot of info to digest. I've been growing for a while, and I just made a rookie mistake getting my new location up and running... I didn't do a good job of...

    DTW coco

I found that putting at least an inch of perlite ontop of your coco works great too. If your really having a problem, or live in an area where they are an issue, add some diatomous earth to the perlite and BOOM no fungus gnats ever again.

    how to fight the stretch

Pinch/crushing stems is the shizzzz! I do it all through veg and during the first couple weeks of flower. You crush and pinch like your going to bend or super crop the branch but don't actually bend it. It slows vertical growth(again, strain dependent-it doesn't slow my headband down at all)...

    how to fight the stretch

Yeah, bushmaster es no bueno. I would bet it is strain dependent. I've never ran a strain that keep stretching 6 weeks into flower, damn! Usually mine stretch for the first couple weeks, then only grow MAYBE a couple inches after that till harvest. Like others said, 18" is pretty far away...

    My red bull bong

I second the glass bowl. Metal is nasty stuff, you never know what type of chemicals are being leeched out of it when repetitively heated and cooled. The aluminium alzhemers(SIC?) link has never been proven, and if it's ture I'm in trouble considering I was a tin tooker addict when I was in...

    Grow Lights?

4x8ft space would fit 2, 4' x 8 tube T5 fixtures nicely. If you put them on adjustable hangers you can lift and lower them whenever you want. It will keep your space nice, clean, and organized. Also, you'll only have 2 plugs to plug in. Many newer T5s can be 'daisy chained', or plugged into...

    Grow Lights?

Do yourself a favor and buy some t5's instead of the cfl route. They are easier then having a bunch of cfls hanging all over the place-you can raise the entire fixture as your plants grow, or to access them to water them, etc. Buy the time you buy enough cfls, fixtures, and extension cords to...
