Sprouts Afghan Grow

I started 12/12 today. She is over 16" and has preflowers all over. THought about cloning, but I'll wait for my WW grow before I start cloning. I am going to practice cloning on a couple of sprouts I got growing under the 50watt once they get a little older. I want to see if I can sex their...

I took my 50watt apart and found the ballast only handles 50watt hps. So don't use a 150watt bulb in this lamp. You can get a 150 hps on ebay for $48. Best deal I found on full hps system.

    Bought a new 150w HPS for $48 on e-bay

Hi all! Fixing to switch over to flowering. On my last thread someone pointed out that HD said that the max watt for my lamp is 50. THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP  I realize the manufactures website showed the same casing, but had several different ballast depending on your model. So I went over...

    Electric Bill

HD online has a 50watt HPS for $35. Buy three and get free shipping. You can buy 8 of them for the same price as a 400watt system. As you pull males, move the light to the clone room or keep it off. The most efficient way i know to grow indoors.

First Grow in 20 years! - Sprouts Intro - Afghan

According to the broacher I posted, it handles from 50 to 150, but because they are so cheap you are better off buying two or three. If you buy three online you get free shipping;) I got two plants under one of these and they are thriving! I'm just going to buy an extra lamp if both these are...

Yeah. The cool thing is you can own 8 of them for the same price you would pay for one 400watt system, around $280. So as you males get plucked you can go down in wattage. Move the extra lights over to the clone room:wink: Clone the hell out those ladies!:hump:

    small hps

no sensors on the one I posted. $35 online You can own 8 of these 50watt lamps for the same price as one 400watt, around $280. If a bulb blows, you got lots of backup and 50watts is alot cheaper to replace than a 400watt. You can control total wattage better by turning off or moving to clones...

    small hps

This is on HD online. I'm using it to grow these two babies. Just keep it 6" from the tops and no more than two plants per light. Been growing these for little over a month. Nodes are less then an inch for me.

$35 It comes with a 50watt bulb but the ballast can handle 150watt. the broacher for this lamp is on the first page.

I'm not saying this will be the quickest grow or the largest every. I'm more interested in cost/yield. That's it. Bottom line.

First Grow in 20 years! - Sprouts Intro - Afghan

I'll have to compare my total yield to a 1000watt soil grower, then I'll buy into that. Till then, I'm going with 3000 lumens/square foot.

Yeah, spotting could be a real issue because of the salts in nutes. But it is the best guard against root lock. I'll probably end up pouring it in the soil anyway. I'm lazy like that:p Thanks for all the advice. Keep it comming:hump:

Oh, just cause I say getto, doesn't mean everything should be the cheapest thing on hand(of corse this would truly be getto then). I'd be using a few 13watt cfl's in some old lamps with some yard dirt in an old pail in that case. The idea is to have the "Ultimate Getto" grow; the greatest yield...

OK. Did some research on foliar feeding. You should stop foliar feeding the last weeks before harvest. Till then, it is ok to feed once a day, right after the lights turn on. The stomata on the underside of the leaves are open then. Hit the leaves, not the bud. any indirect moisture on the buds...

First Grow in 20 years! - Sprouts Intro - Afghan

Been thinking about the CO2 and realized you are right. CO2 water is not cheap. And since I am trying for the ultimate getto grow, I need to reconsider. But if I did decide to go CO2 enrichment then circulated air would blow all my CO2 to the wind. It needs to linger under those leaves or it...
