White Fuzz (Maybe Mold) on riot cubes?

As said, it could be mycelium, which would be good. But it could be something else, my advice would be not to use them if there is any doubt in your mind. The seeds I put on a few weeks ago cost me nearly £100, there is no way I would risk that investment over a few rooting cubes.

    The UK Growers Thread!

I use Tomorite, a £1.99 bag of Epsom Salt and a 1kg bag of Calcium Chloride. I am spending about £10 a year on nutes.

    The UK Growers Thread!

It looks like Calcium deficiency to me. I have had issues with it. I think it has something to do with LED lighting, but can't be sure. From what I understand if the plant is showing the deficiency now that means it actually became deficient a few weeks prior. My plan to fix it on my next...

    Coco Coir

I don't use peat. It is being banned from sale in the UK, so I couldn't get it if I wanted to. I use an organic peat free compost mix and reuse it in my garden, it makes a great mulch for veg and flower beds. I don't know anywhere that even sells it near me and would have to have it shipped...

    Coco Coir

My problem with coco is one of cost and it not being very good for the environment. 90L of organic peat free soil ready to go is £10. 60L of coco is £15 + delivery. Plus, living in northern Europe means wherever that coco fibre was produced was a very long way away. Then there is the...

Diy calcium magnesium suppliment - calmag

So what are people's opinions of using Epsom Salts and Calcium Chloride? I was going to use 3ml (5g) of Epsom Salt and 6ml (13g) of Calcium Chloride in 5L of water, along with my normal nutrients.

Why would one plant in a dozen be Phosphorus deficient?

Nah, it never really developed. I let it go for a couple of weeks to see if it would get going, but it didn't. I didn't see the point in wasting any time or resources on a plant that would fail to yield so I binned it.

    Tent heaters

I'm lucky it doesn't get really cold where I am. Very cold here would be 5c at night. I just use a 80w tube heater and it keeps things in the mid 20s with the lights on and in the mid teens with the lights out. I do have a 500w oil filled rad, just in case, but don't really have to use it. I...

I have tried all sorts of methods for germination, Jiffy plugs, rock wool, in the medium and I always come back to a wet paper towel.

They have ages to go, several weeks. They look like they need a bit of a feed. You should remove the dead/dying leaves, they can cause mould.
