Do you know the dangers of UV light exposure?

I try not to get under the lights at all. If I have to I will wear sun glasses and I tend not be naked when working on my grow.:D

    Coconut coir should I ?

I use Tomorite tomato feed and my medium is off the shelf compost mixed with composted farm manure and perlite. All I found was I got a little Mg deficiency, so I added some Epsom Salt once a week and all is well. I had to use that because in the Covid lockdown I couldn't get my usual Jack's...

Has anyone ever used OVERDRIVE by Advanced Nutrients?

You obviously haven't been on UK420 then.

Check your indicator lights in your grow environment.

You are talking about a light where the power draw is rated in milliwatts. The very idea of this is nonsense.

Check your indicator lights in your grow environment.

But he isn't talking about the indicator lights on power strips and the like. TBH most of these lights aren't even LEDs, they are neon indicator lamps and pull micro-amps.

    Coconut coir should I ?

There is only one Dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary.

Check your indicator lights in your grow environment.

TBH, until I read this thread I had never even considered the implications of the power indicator LEDs on my gear.

    Coconut coir should I ?

Organic and natural are not the same thing.

Check your indicator lights in your grow environment.

    That is a ridiculous analogy.

Check your indicator lights in your grow environment.

There is no way that a tiny little indicator light on a fan caused that, not a chance. I have 6 way and 3 way power strips in my flowering tent and they have all been on for about a year and I have had no such problems, go figure

Clones: Mainlining vs Scrog vs Monstercropping?

I grow in soil. I only have a small setup. Today I got rid of my SCROG net. I find it a pain in the arse, TBH. I have gone over to LST instead. I have done it with outdoor Autos to good effect, so now I am going to try it with photos. I am at about 8 weeks from seed and the plants have...

I think they dieing from root bound!

Stop watering them. Water by the weight of the pot. By the sound of it you have drenched them again, so feel the weight of the pot. Use some scales if you want. When they are really light water them a little and feel the weight again. For reference 1L of water weighs 1KG. I have some...

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

The catch all term soil. You North Americans have a funny way of using English. If you went into a shop in the UK and asked for soil, they would try and sell you Top Soil or Loam. What you call soil, isn't soil it is a blended compost. So you have used an off the shelf soil mix, or compost. So...

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

That is where I am at the moment. I find it easy. At the moment I am just using a Liquid Seaweed tomato feed once flowering starts, super easy.

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

Firstly coco isn't really very environmentally sound. It has to be shipped in from god knows where. It is very expensive and I can't buy it locally, I have to have it shipped in. Then there is all that faff with PH, EC and PPM. Soil I can just mix it up and I am good to go, I can get 6 weeks...

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

Yep. This is one of the reasons I prefer soil. If I went to coco my nutrients bill would go through the roof, I am currently spending about $15 a year.

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

I have no idea, it isn't my experiment. There are so many variables that haven't been revealed. I have no idea what was used under the catch all term "soil", what did it contain? Were the plants from seed or cloned? Because if they aren't clones, then the whole outcome is moot. I notice...

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

Were the two plants clones or from seed? Was there a 3rd "control plant"?

Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

Oh yeah, soil is much more work than coir, but I am enjoying the learning curve I am on working towards a fully organic soil mix. I get that the experiment done here proves is the OP had two plants and the one in coir grew bigger. We have no idea why.

    Extreme Defoliation...

Take a pic from the same position each time. Because if I'd have left any plant for over a month I'd expect a bit more development than what I am seeing here.
