Coco VS soil. Same strain. Planted at the same time. Unreal

I have grown in soil and coir. For me soil is the better medium for a number of reasons, but each to their own.

    Having issues with first autos

With Organics you stand just as much a chance of nute burn and I don't see why the bud will taste any better.

Do my plants look near ready guys.

Removing the nutrients is a flawed idea. With a commodity crop like Cannabis you want it to be in top condition when the chop comes. You aren't going to achieve that by starving the plant. The idea of flushing is complete nonsense, it doesn't happen with any other crop. However, if grown in...

    Whether to flip considering....

I'd give them a day or two and flip them. They look really good, from the photo.

Does this grow setup look decent

I did some Blue Dream Autos last summer, outdoors, that is the best weed I have ever produced. I am smoking some now. The smell is delightful, the smoke is smooth in a joint or a bong and the potency is up there. I grew it to be a cheap all day smoke, expecting it to be mild. But it really...

    Quickie question

I will selectively remove the odd leaf after a session of LST and I will Lollypop the lower third of the plant before flipping, but other than that I leave them be. As far as I am concerned stripping the plant of leaves to improve yield is a complete oxymoron. Plants need the leaves to...

Can I mix Advanced Nutrients with PK 13/14

Snake Oil is an unfair description on my part,TBH. All of these lines like Advanced Nutrients offer a myriad of different additives and most of them are a way of selling you something that you don't really need or something that is useful but they have hyped it and marked it up. I bought into...

Need Help Deciding On Which Grow Light To Buy Please!

I use Sonoff Basic wifi switches. They are good for 10 amps, which is 2400w @ 240v. If you need more than that you can link them over wifi so they operate as one. I am so done with household timers, down the years I have had so many fail and the mechanical ones are so inaccurate. In 2 years...

    Initial setup costs

Yeah I missed off small fans for circulating air, good point. At the moment I am happy with my 5 20 year old clip ons.:D I have been growing for a while, so I already have a load of stuff. I actually have a full set of HPS lights, 2 x 600w and 2 x 400w, sitting in a box doing nothing. I have...

How long does it take to recover from topping and how many times should /could over a given time ?

I LST and selectively top. When I top I keep an eye on them. I did one the other day and it had recovered by the next evening, the pair of shoots below the cut top had already started to noticeably expand. Some take longer than that, but never more than a week.

    Cloth bag grow

Didn't know that. I tried cloth bags when using a peat based medium and had a job to keep them moist. I have tried a couple of runs with cloth bags and didn't get on with them. They dry out much quicker than with plastic, they don't drain at the bottom so it takes more water to moisten the...
