yes they also feed off stored foods in the leaves

how are you testing your soil's ph?

check the effected leaves just for the hell of it and see if you see any little black dots on the undersides of the leaves

You could always try some micro nutes and see if that helps..

Looks like a possible ph issue, I would also get them in some bigger pots.. Thats not the problem but just an observation.
