Is anyone using a PLC, Programmable Logic Controller for a grow room controll??????

Holy crap, you guys are way beyond me! Many years ago I toyed with the idea of being able to monitor/control my growroom(s), but had trouble dealing with handing over control over the environment(s) to machines. Obviously, with timers and atmospheric controllers, I'm still doing that to an...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

I actually used a Green Air Products Co2/atmospheric controller. The problem I had was, the room heated up quickly, and so did humidity. In fact, it was such an issue, I actually sent the controller back to Green Air Products to be modified at 7.5 degree intervals instead of 15 degree- both...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Did you see my quote in its entirety? Notice I said TO ME. Yes, I've had good results with Co2 as well, but in the end, it didn't offset all the other expenses and other needs in order to use it. In particular, humidity was a huge issue. If you feel it's worth it to use an AC or dehumidifier...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Hey knowledgeseeker, I have a feeling the reason why your grapefruit diesels are more yellow than the other ones is that they're genetically disposed to be that way, hence, the name grapefruit diesel. Those plants look relatively happy, but having grown in rockwool cubes/slabs for many years, I...

To Chill Or Not To Chill? Water chiller's

If you're going to be doing aeroponics you definitely should get a chiller. With that type of system, the margin for error is extremely small, and IMO, it's not worth taking a chance. In any other type of system, I'd say you don't need it though, except in extremely hot environments.

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Cool. Can't wait to see how they turn out. As far as the difference between the two filters, I sold my Can 66/RS8 filter combo after one run because I needed more airflow than it could provide. I opted for the Phresh filter (10' x 39") because I saw their setup at the SF hydro expo and talked...

running 2 1000 HPS, 2 3x6 trays, using a top feed rockwool drip system, and using a 10 inch Max Fan coupled with a Phresh filter rated at 1400 CFM. Using Dutch Master Gold line nutes, Hygrozyme, and Drip Clean from from H&G.

    Cooling idea

I couldn't wait long enough to have it shipped from Ohio for $70 plus shipping, so I bought it locally for $110, plus you need a 24V transformer ($9). It's meant for HVAC applications, not necessarily for 120V grow rooms, lol. If you have the time, hit up these guys. Prices are fair, and the...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

I was going to mention that, but I enjoy seeing other methods and like to see the result. With the 4 600's you've got, it sounds to me like all you really need is maybe a 10" Max Fan. It moves 1019 CFM, and used with a Phresh Carbon filter, you can get serious airflow provided you have a large...

GrowTechs New 2000W Parabolic Perpetual SOG

I've used parabolics in my time as well, but only on certain occasions. I like to give the finger to the electric company as much as possible, and when the setup permits it, I'll sometimes use one 1000 MH with a parabolic on a rail too, for odd times when clones aren't quite ready to go into...

    Cooling idea

I like the sound of it. More sensors equals more control. I just bought a motorized damper to keep the hot outside air from entering the room during the day and plan to run it on a timer. Even better still, I'd have an outside temperature sensor and control device dictating when to open and...

    Hydro Nutrient Question/Comparo

I've been using Dutch Master's Gold Line of hydroponic nutrients, and have seen great results with certain genetics. Bubblegum and Sour Diesel did well with them, but the Black Kush strain just didn't put out. I'm wondering if others have experienced the same sort of thing, or if I'd be better...

    Fast Food - A Tutorial

Not where I work, and thank God for that. IMO, that's a policy is passe. Customers will exploit any known "soft spot" in the business philosophy or way of doing business. Each circumstance should be treated on its own merits, and management should deal with it accordingly. Anything less is...
