What is a PPM meter and how important is it for your grow?

Ok, but if my tap water end's up being fine in terms of ppm, then I save even more money..lol A 4L jug of distilled water is only $1 anyway and my grow is small (5 plants) ;)

What is a PPM meter and how important is it for your grow?

With coco, it's more about the type of water you are starting with (soft, normal or hard water). As you add nutrients it increases the ppm of the now mixture. If your ppm's get too high, your plants won't like it. If you can check the ppm levels of your water and know what they are (they will...

    Coco Growers Unite!

Then go with 100% coco. This is my first grow and coco is probably the most forgiving medium and that's why I'm doing it ;) I'm planting my seed directly into too. Running Dutch Passion Blueberry & Freddy's Best. I have a layer of hydroton at the bottom of my 3 gal airpots too. You water...

Good deals on 400w grow tent kits & how to setup?

You might want to remember, when you import this stuff from the US, you're going to have to pay the duty and taxes as well. So it won't be as cheap as you might think ;) That's why I ended up buying here in Canada instead.

    Airpots Club

I know to do that....I was just trying to get a gauge of how may containers of water I'm going to have to mix (I'm adding Rhizo to it). I guess I'll just mix 1 container and see how far that gets me. Then I can gauge the rest....I was just trying to avoid not making enough, then having to make...

    Grow Tent setup(Secret Jardin DR90 II)Help!!

Yeah, you don't need the intake fan. Just have a passive intake (use one of the lower exhaust ports). I have a DR90 too and I set up mine this way. 1. Carbon filter is strapped to the rear right corner. 2. Inline fan is attached directly to the filter pulling air through it. 3. Ducting from...

First time tent user = 2 questions

How much should my tent be bowing from the negative pressure? (I do have an equal 6" passive intake btw) The tent won't implode, but it bows enough to move my cool tube from a parallel position (from my door) to almost a diagonal position within the tent. The pulling in of the walls is doing...

Picked up my seeds today from GTASB. Cute little place nestled in a Chinese mall. Picked up some Dutch Passion Blueberry (fem) and Freddy's Best (fem). I haven't opened them yet as they are now in the fridge until I'm ready to germ them, but I looked through the package with the fridge light...

First time tent user = 2 questions

    1) With my setup now complete, how long should I let it go for a "test run" to get an accurate reading of temp and humidity levels? 1 hour? more or less? 2) Where's the optimum place to put your hygrometer within the tent? Floor, pot height, or near the top of the tent? I've seen some guys...

Air Movement Problems Please Help!! :(

Strap your carbon filter to one of the top corners, attached the fan directly to the filter (sucking the air through the filter), then run ducting to your cool tube, then from the other side of the cool tube, run more ducting to the exhaust port ;)

    Dutch Passion's Freddy's Best Strain

Thanks hotrod, but I read that on their site already....I was looking for a more specific answer, as in exactly how tall. ie, 4ft, 6ft, etc...Sounds like I'm going to have to top this baby though as I'm in a tent with a max height of 6 ft. Plus I have to try to keep it close to the Blueberry height.
