I'm still working on building this. I'm think I'm going to try running 3 3 and 4K strips @ 1.4A - The cheapest driver $/V wise between Future Electronics and Mouser was the HLG-185H-1400 from Future Electronics It looks like I'll try 6 strips at 51,000 Lumens, 2 drivers 390W total cost $260...

True that. Im contemplating how many more strips are needed and the extra cost. They work really well for even light canopy. I run strips in a metal rack to grow lettuce. I dont see myself doing that with big cobs. these strips are so good for tight spaces

Well a CPU cooler isn't expensive and you can buy them from the local computer store. It looks like a vero 29 build could work out around the same price and get you better effeciency overal. You can however get better coverage at a closer distance with the strips.

All COB Users - Lettuce Grow Challenge!!

I was asking because I'm working with someone that needs to cover (80) 71'x58" grow beds. We have been looking at Samsung white strips, bridgelux strips and the SunPlus chips. So if SunPlus had strips that's nice, but you're saying they aren't as efficient as white that surprises me because...

    Bridgelux EB Series Build

I am happy that I have light and the fixture is really simple. If I was to keep working on this one I would: - Put all the 110 connections in a box and make it remote. I'm not comfortable with the 110 being on the fixture and the wago's are lose. - Use stranded wire (soft wire) for the...

It is a nice light though, good job. The Screws are clean, drilled and tapped? How did you make the holes? I use self tapping screws because I'm lazy, but they kinda chew the shit out of the metal and leave rough edges.

Why did you go with 560's instead of the longer ones? Really nice looking fixture by the way. It looks like the Aluminum you picked was thicker than mine and it makes for a rock solid fixture. Nice.
