You want Good Drainage in your soil ,I also use styrfome cut in 1 in cubes on bottom pot.

What kind of Cfl are you using? How warm is it?

Prep your soil before hand spread out and mist spray until its moist Not soking wet.cut on A 45 angle ,I always dome ,I never mist them after I get them cut ,I dont even look at them for a week.As far as light the smaller the better.

Dont cut the fan leaves off ,you could tie it over or super crop to increase the bud sites. put her in a bigger pot soon .

Too much food. I would go with water from the top for a couple of weeks .
