how do i figure out how many lumens covers how much square feet. I had the formula somehwere in my notes but it's been misplaced evidently.. The plants need between 7-10 thousand lumens for optimal growth right? I've got a 15 square foot area. Each fluorescent bulb has 60-70 lumens per watt...

Well wait now.. according to certain sources, fluorescent bulbs put out 60-70 lumens per watt. So for 40 watts thats 2400. meaning 4 of them is 9600 lumens. thats more then enough for a 15 foot sqaure foot area if i'm not mistaken
