I vegged a crop under LED's and they grew very well.... but when it comes to flower time, there is not near enough lumens and intensity.... so HID for the flowering stage for me for sure...

My 5 gallon pots get watered every second day.... moderate amount... photos worth thousand words....

To those of you who wish to take shots at Uncle Ben you had best read all of his posts... hidden in there are nuggets of wisdom that will make anyone a better grower and links that could take weeks of searching to find.... if you don;t like his advice move along and buy some more overpriced...

As for the question about pots, I go straight from party cups to 5 gallons,,,, nature doesn;t up size its pots so I figure give the room and don;t transplant more than necessary.... seems to work for me....

The heat off the 1000 w is hard on the grow room... would consider 3 600watters, good vents and fans....

I would consider dual 600 watters.... and at least 5 gal buckets.... I run my 4X $ grow tent will 9 buckets, a 600 w HPS a 200 watt cfl and 90 w LED... down the road will be dual 600 in the tent and another 6 plants under a 600 outside...

Unfortantetly some people do to little of this... like the peiple advocating cutting off all the fan leaves...WTF!
