    Matching Drivers and COBs

That would mean no to 4 then :) However, it's good for 4 cxb though

Hey. I have the same size tent and i'm using 4 CXB 3590's driven at close to 50 watts each. 1 driver pr COB, cheap generic driver 87% efficient bought on eBay. It's close to overkill of light in such a small space, but so far so good. If you plan on driving your COB's at around 100 watts, then...

    What is my PPFD?

Thanks GG, much appreciated input :) I might be able to get the lights to 50cm above canopy, but beyond that my carbon filter is in the way... We'll see how it goes... Week 4 of flowering starts tomorrow

    What is my PPFD?

Thanks mate! Damn... i knew i forgot something lol, yea it's CB :) and yes, i figured it would be close to saturation. So far so good though. I might try and get a MW driver @ 1050ma for next run to lower intensity a little and gain a little efficiency. Thanks again for the calculation :)

    What is my PPFD?

As title says... This might be simple enough to calculate, but since i'm completely useless when it comes to math, i'd appreciate a little help from the very knowledgeable people here :) Tent size is 60x60x150cm, I'm running 4x CXB3590 (36v) 3000k 80CRI @ 1400ma, so 50-ish watt pr. COB. 1 driver...

    Cxb3590 light bars

It depends on which specific spectrum of CXB's you want to use. For instance the 3500k which is very popular right now is slightly more efficient than 3000k. I can't remember, but i think the efficiency goes a little up with higher K's because of more blue dies which are more efficient than...

    Cxb3590 light bars

Wow, sounds like a big project! Yea, the arctic 64 plus is a great match for CXB3590 + holder. I use that combination myself, and believe that quite a few others here do the same. If you plan on running your COB's at 85w each you might consider using Bridgelux Vero29 instead, and save some...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

No. Drivers are usually most efficient when fully loaded. Yea, sorry. I meant COB efficiency goes up when dimming driver to lower current... Thanks for clarifying Alesh :) Do we know of any drivers that keeps their efficiency rating when dimmed? That would be nice.. hehe

    Matching Drivers and COBs

No, you gain efficiency by dimming the driver. As current goes down, efficiency goes up :)

    help DIY LED project

You could save a little money by using Bridgelux Vero29 instead of Cree CXB. When you drive your COB at 60+ watts the Vero29 is almost as efficient as Cree CXB. Cree really shines when driving them at low currents ( below 50 watts) and Vero29 is pretty stable ~40ish% when driven at higher...

Yea, that driver should work fine. I can't see how efficient it is, do you know? I also use generic drivers for 4 CXB 3590 3000k and they're at 87%. These are probably in the same range...

First Diy Vero 29 v2 light! Need Help

Well, i can't see in the picture what Kelvin temperature your COB's are, but ideally for flowering you would want 3000k or 3500k.

As it should! You guys are the only ones who can put a stop to it by putting pressure on the political leadership. When America stops supporting violent conflicts, the conflicts tend to stop. East Timor is probably the most obvious historical example...
