Gotta get the res temp down under 68 degrees. Fungus and root rot can set in above 68 degrees. And I try to keep my room at 75 max. Is 250 ppm what your base water is? Any filteration? What kind of nutrients? If it's organic you don't want to use H2o2. It will kill all of the beneficial bacteria...
I think the best you can hope for is 600 grams per light not 500 grams per plant. 1 gram per watt is phenomenal growth and that is what a grower can get with optimal conditions. I wish per plant!
They will get tall fast, depending on the strain of course. Indicas are usually shorter when matured. Your cross should stay fairly short though. But you'll still have to train it during veg to fit in that space. Shorter reservoir, definately.
Don't top them in the flower stage, or ever I think. Just bend the tops over for the first week in flower. The stalks get really ridgid after this. I personally think topping the girls is more stress than they need. Bending them doesn't slow the growth down as much either. And it makes them...
Be careful not to over water them now that they are in flower. At night they dont need as much water so the timer is more important now. They are going to start stretching on you now. Keep em goin.
Get the neoprene collars that fit the inside of your net pots. Put the germinated seeds into them after the roots show about 2". With no medium try your timer at 1 min. on and 5 off. All about the good meds!
Yeah just be careful with the roots. Or just get some new ones going without any medium. Keep that perpetual system loaded up. They grow so fast with this system. Thanx stinkbud
Do not hook the air pump to the timer. You need to keep the nutes recirculating. And those plants should be MUCH bigger at 1 month. They only look 1 week old. Just my opinion, not tryn to be rude. Look starved!
There are a few different sized roughnecks that are the same width but shorter. And yes you could scrog them or lst them later but let em get going first. And after the girls get used to it in flower, the light can be a less than a foot if you can keep the canopy cool. Vented light systems are...
The rapid rooters are going to hold excess water but you should be ok once they get a root mass. My system runs on for 1 min. and off for 5 mins. But I dont have a medium to hold water. Good on covering the rapid rooters from the light. Just try another rubbermaid on top of the other as your...
You germinate the seeds first, then into the collars. And there would still be light getting to the roots and nutes from the sides of that container. And light will go through mylar anyways. At least 2 mil it does.
I would veg about 600-800 ppm. I clone at 450 and veg up to 900. But each system, strain, and grow vary. I am liking the Fox Farms nutrients myself. And jd explained the ppms well. Grow em BIG!
I would suggest getting another rubbermaid roughneck and use it for the root chamber cause it isn't clear. If light gets to the nutes and h2o than algae will start to grow. Cover that rockwool too! It will rot and kill your plants. I use 2" neoprene collars to hold my plants. No medium to hold...
The metal halide will produce closer internode growth than the cfls because of the lumen intensity. I veg with floros and flower with hids. Just my choice I guess.
Rubbermaid totes work well but you could just use a 3 gallon bucket under it with a hole in the top of the lid for plumbing to the sprayers, drain, and pump cord. Think 150 gph would work and use ez clone sprayers. Red and screw into 1/2" schedule 40 pvc with 11/32" holes. Not sure about the...
Gotta think about the different nutrients that the girls will need during flower. What about flushing? Gotta set it up with a few reservoirs or 1 per aero unit.
If that is the ppms of your tap water than the calcium is locking out the mag. Should try to get ro or filter the water in hydro. What are the nutrients you use? Should cover the rockwool so they don't grow algae or fungus. One plant looks over watered to me.
Looking nice Matt! Have you tried folding and pushing the leaves down or to the side? I wouldn't trim any off. That is where the plants sugar is stored. The more that can be stored the more that can be pulled into the buds during flush and drying. In another 4-5 weeks they will be using the...
