When it comes time to flush my plants, what should my plant look like?

depends on the strain and stresses in your environment. 2 weeks prior to harvest is the recommended time to flush, but only after working with a strain in your growroom will you be able to predict exactly when you will harvest. I've had plants stay a healthy green right up till harvest, and...

    Why doesn't everyone grow SCROG?

Well, I grow for personal use and I harvest more than I can use. Since I have a strict no-selling policy, extra bud is given out to friends. I also like to take my plants out of the closet for examination and pruning, so why would I want to put any time and effort into scrog?

    Is this safe? PIC included

It's safe as long as you wired it right. I built a similar rig over a year ago and it's been running 24/0 with no problems. Listen to people who have actually built such things, instead of people who are afraid to. :D Good luck man, your whole setup is nice!!!

Explain why people don't do this ( giant plant pots )

I saw a large grow using DIY 4x4 tables with 8" sides filled with dirt, 12/12 from clone, 1 clone per sq ft. To get the dirt+roots out after harvest, he chops it up into cubes... To answer your question though, an organic soil mix will meet your requirements. Slow release additives such as...

    3 gallon pots

There are several ways to determine if your plant needs water. The most popular seems to be going by the weight of the pot. Wait till the pot feels light when you pick it up before you water again. Don't worry about underwatering, the plant will tell you in no uncertain terms when the soil is...

    cfl lighting advice?

5600k work just fine for me. For 3 seedlings, I'd use 4 26w 5600k CFLs but that's just me. Socket splitters are great too... remember to keep them a couple of inches from the bulbs... if your seedlings are in party cups, it makes things a lot easier.

great spot potential, but needs clean up, and your opinons

LOL, I did all that for a 4x4 growbox. Anyway, I have an a/c on my flowering box to regulate temps, and that keeps my growroom humidity at 50% or lower, so I don't use a de-humidifier, but when I did it kept my entire basement at 40%. I wouldn't put a de-humidifier IN my growroom because it's...
