Gnats thrive in moist soil. Topping with sand or small rocks should shade your soil too. If you're outdoors, use grass clippings

They should be fine. Normally, outdoor plants would be grown in the ground. Expect a later harvest though, like late September to October depending upon the strain.

I grow in cabinets and a repurposed fridge. Really only 2 or 3 plants fit in a full size fridge. If you want to smoke early September, I'd pick your favorite 2 plants and repot to at least 4 gallon pots. Wait 2 weeks and flip.

What he said⬆. Your leaves can't use all that light so they are angling themselves so the light hits them at an angle.

Put 2 inches of sand on top of your soil and bottom water. The gnats need moisture and the quick draining sand combined with bottom watering will kill off your gnats in about a week. 1 more week and the eggs are also dead.

Looks relatively healthy, I'd guess it would bounce back pretty soon. I've had cabinets get up over 105°f and they bounced back after a couple of days.

I prefer to build a manifold and get 8 or 16 tops. 8 is easier to handle in a cabinet while 16 can get a little out of hand. I don't really have a specified veg time, i just put them into flower when I think they look ready, not when the clock says to.

You have slugs on the bottom of your pots? WTF? Is your LED a China made "blurple" light that claims 1000 watts or do you have 1000 actual watts of COB? Also, what is the capacity of your pots? I don't use anything less than a 4 gallon. Preferably more.
