Keep expanding the grow medium so the roots can flourish. You could put them in larger cubes, put them on slabs, put them in hydroton, etc..

i would put them straight into 12/12. some people grow three or four plants in one pot to make a large "bush" in less time. just for the hell of it, grow them out. weed out the males, top and prune the hell out of them to keep them small. just have fun!

you can use coco like you would soil. most would use it in a hydro application, but with persistent watering you can do it by hand. i would buy a big bag of soil and cut it with the coco.
