Coco vs soil. Why so small??

IMHO, you can't and probably shouldn't follow all these ideals that are set forth in the growing community - you'll go crazy. We don't grow in labs, we aren't scientists conducting scientific experiments, etc. Even the big commercial grows have a lot variables and you have to adapt. Just...

Coco vs soil. Why so small??

According to that post coco should be feed 3-4 times a day too. Folks you don't have to make this into some sort of science experiment where you try to hit some ideal. People have been growing killer weed feeding coco only once a day, feeding 2 days and plain water the 3rd day, RH of 25%, so...

Coco vs soil. Why so small??

Wow, it's good to know there is one and only one proper way to feed in coco. All these idiots using "plane" water must just be getting lucky.....

Coco vs soil. Why so small??

I switched from fabric to plastic recently. I think I'm getting better results, but I wouldn't necessarily attribute that to the plastic pots. That said, I'm not paying the premium for fabric pots anymore and fabric pots are messy to reuse. A good plastic pot is cheap, they last forever and...

Coco vs soil. Why so small??

Well water is often high in CalMag, so you may want to use that at ~50% or every other feeding, etc. Good luck and keep an eye out for lock outs caused by excessive CalMag. Or another approach would be not use CalMag and keep an eye out for CalMag deficiency. When you see the deficiency, then...

    ?? Supercrop help

I'd wrap the wound in blue masking tape if you have any around. Otherwise it looks like it will heal fine. Now you know better. Everybody looses a branch now and then.

Coco vs soil. Why so small??

Shaggy - start feeding the plants in coco. Coco is sort of an in between hydro and soil. I'd feed them a good hydro formula (General Hydro is what I use). Coco tends to need extra CalMg. Hopefully you did a Calmg flush or have coco that was washed, since the calmg can release potassium from...

Why avoid autoflowers when learning to grow?

Just trying to figure out how to jam in more grow cycles for you canucks, so the newbies can learn faster. At 1 plant a month and you should never be above 3, so you can still do 1 a month. Gets tough if you don't have 2 rooms. Since it's legal, you don't necessarily need a room/tent for veg...

    Topping

I didn't realize you bent it over. Yeah, continue with that process. I thought you lucked into a rare triple topper, it's your training that's doing that. Keep up the good work.

    Potassium deficiency?

Temps are bad. Those plants look farther along than 2 weeks. Once the flowering starts it's time to switch to a bloom formula. Hopefully just switching to a bloom formula will straighten things out for you.

    Does RO need pH’d??

http://www.sungro.com/professional-product/sunshine-mix-4/ Might not be the right product for you. There's no nutes in it. I use the lucas formula 2 days a week and either water or organic fertilizers the rest of the time. Works pretty good for me. I started doing hydro ebb & flow and then...

    Does RO need pH’d??

It's never raised the PH in my peat mix. The run-off always comes out right around 6. And when I feed GO, that stuff is like ~4ph and has never dropped PH in my pots. Run-off is always around 6 even with the GO acid bath nutes. Freaked me out at first and I was using tons of PH up to get the...

    Does RO need pH’d??

I'm with you. Maybe PH the hydro solution, but TBH, I haven't bothered PH'ing in years. Depends on medium too. My peat pots are healthy enough it doesn't matter what PH solution I pour in, the soil maintains a PH of ~6. H20 days, the plants get whatever the tap is at that day.

    Topping

Leave that plant alone. You got lucky as hell that it developed the tops naturally like that. Let it be until it gets bigger. You probably won't have to do much other than stake those 3 tops up.

Why avoid autoflowers when learning to grow?

Stagger the grows. Throw 1-2 plants into bloom every month and you've got 8 grows in one year.
