Fan leaves turning yellow/brown during flower

I've been growing in fox farm soil for 3 grows now and following nutrient feed charts (fox farm trio as an example) wound up with salt buildup and low PH every grow. I agree that you shouldn't flush unless you have to, but in this case it's needed. The salts will build up and a flush will help...

Fan leaves turning yellow/brown during flower

I'm afraid I can't be too much help as I'm also having the same problems at around week 6 flower with all of my grows. If it were me, I'd check the soil PH or at least test the run off to see if your PH is low. All of my tests at around week 5-6 of flower (in fox farm soil) have shown very...

Northern Lights Mainline vs Bending main stem and LST...

End of Journal: I figure this is not of interest to most, Northern Lights has been around forever and I'm sure there are many journals. Mods: Please delete this if you can. I won't be updating.

Northern Lights Mainline vs Bending main stem and LST...

Week 4: Getting smaller before getting bigger. Everything removed except the third node. Anyone know why my picture won't show preview? Is it a formatting issue?

Northern Lights Mainline vs Bending main stem and LST...

Week 3: Not looking too good, I may have over done the calmag. Working to get her back to health, soil PH seems too low. Boron deficiency due to lockout?

Northern Lights Mainline vs Bending main stem and LST...

Week 2: Wrinkly leaves, I think the plant takes a little time to get used to the soil, or I'm doing something wrong.

Northern Lights Mainline vs Bending main stem and LST...

Hi all, thought I'd share my 4th grow comparing different grow styles. I will be trying my first mainline/manifold and will be comparing results to previous grows. Northern Lights Fem (Nirvana) Spider Farmer SF-1000 Custom grow cabinet, 1.5x1.5 feet, 55 inch high (minus around 10 inches for the...

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Thanks, this was good information to read up and study on. All of the twisting leaves and necrosis seem to match the symptoms of a Boron deficieny. I flushed my plant with tap water just in case too much cal-mag , (and/or excess nutrients). My plastic pot and Fox Fam Happy frog are forming...

High anxiety strains? Is it me or the weed?

This could be very true, its legal to smoke at home were I live (Virginia) but I'm rushing my smoke sessions trying to hide the odor. So, I'm starting my high off slighty nervous. Now here is the interesting thing, If I get too high there is only one fix that works for me. Sex. Sex takes my...

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Quote of the day, "plants do things"... Love it ! Thanks, I'll just let her build a frame for now and worry about the leaves during flower....

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

The thing that has me wondering about this is how the two leaves (in red circles) have the exact same kink in the leaves, like a mirror. It makes me think I hit a root or something is not right. I did try to aerate this grow with a chopstick, the soil got a little too wet when the plant was small.

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Well, like everything else in this hobby, its a fine line. I do have a tendency to underwater, or if in doubt, go one more day without water. maybe a little too far, but from what Ive seen nothing can wreck a grow faster than over watering. I did not know about PH swings depending on soil...

High anxiety strains? Is it me or the weed?

Yeah man, exactly how I feel for the first 20 mins or so, jittery and nervous and I cant stop thinking about all the wrong things. On the plus side, a few ounces of good weed lasts me forever now. I'm growing one plant at a time and I always have leftovers from previous grows...

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

A huge thanks ! I've seen slight curling of leaves early as well in my last grows and it worked itself out, maybe i worry too much. The information you've given me about soil PH and dry/wet and PH up and down is a huge help. I'm still not able to get past week 6 of flower without bad soil...

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Side note all, I've grown this strain twice before, same pots, same soil type, same nutrients. This is the first I've seen leaves twist up like this, normally my plants are very happy and "praying" at this point. This one is not.

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Man, I invested in teaspoons that go down to 1/64th tsp... I'm really taking it easy on the nutrients. As far as cal mag goes, I add a DROP to my water, barely any at all. I plan to feed more as the plant gets roots down, but at the moment its mainly soil and water..

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Thanks, Ive heard this from many but have seen low soil PH below 5 from previous grows, so I still keep an eye on PH.

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

I've been running the light at 80-100% but just dropped the light output to see if I can stop the leaves from twisting. I also just topped her to the third node a few days ago and plant to remove all growth except the right and left chutes soon. (manifold) She is looking small due to the...

High anxiety strains? Is it me or the weed?

I'm an old time smoker that used to be able to smoke as much weed as I wanted, if I got too high, I got too high comfortably. But after a few years, I found that smoking large amounts of weed caused anxiety, racing thoughts, etc... Basically, getting really high isnt pleasant for me, which is...

Twisting leaves mirrored on two adjacent branches

Hi all, I'm on my 4th grow using the same pots and soil used in previous grows. I'm noticing some strange twisting leaves and am wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this? Are twisting leaves a sign that I have a pest living somewhere unseen? I'm a new grower and cannot see any bugs...
