Yea I'd recommend a lot more research before you spend any more money. Hopefully you bought that light, or tent, from somewhere that you can return it for a refund because you are going to need either a much smaller tent or a lot more light(s).

Yea you'd probably be fine. I ran a 400w open reflector in my tent till I switched the 600w and the heat was fine. It was only after switching to the 600w that I had to buy a cool tube.

I think your other problem along with the space issue is going to be heat. I run a 600w in a 4x4x7 tent and it got so hot I had to get a cool tube just to keep the temps down. That was with a 6in inline and carbon filter for the exhaust.

Pics are crucial for anyone to help. Without pics though....Is the soil still wet after 3 days or is it dry now (if you're growing in soil, if not then what medium)? Is there any clawing of the leaves that you can see, start of tip burning? I mean if it's just dropping and the soil is still wet...

I think they'd be pretty comparable, I don't know if you'd really see that much of a difference between the two. The 250w mh/hps might have a tad bit better light penetration for flowering but other than that I think they'd fair about the same. If you do go with the 250w I don't think you'd need...

I'd go with the scrog and T5. Hempy buckets would be a lot easier but if I only have 2 plants going I need something to keep me busy so I would welcome the extra work.

It's definitely not a hard fast rule but I've always gone off of the after the first 2 weeks of flower you're pretty much done with stretching rule, so hopefully that's only 3 more days for you....you could always super crop them too, that's what I would do.

I use tap and let it sit out overnight so the chlorine can evaporate, they seem to like it just fine. RO is good if you have really hard tap water or something but here in CO my tap water is under 50ppm

Yea even with adding in the CFLs with that 400w you aren't going to achieve the dense bud that you are looking for, potent maybe, but not dense.

If I'm not mistaken lumens mean nothing to plants. In my experience you want at least 50 watts per sq ft when you're flowering, so if you have a 4x8 room a 400w is not going to cut it.
