Quick update, I'm in a bit of a stress, I had a power cut today but as luck would have it, it was just at the start of the 18/6 night cycle, so aside from all the pumps stopping for a couple of hours... the light/dark schedule is pretty much maintained.

I think it's really interesting to see how the roots seek out the more bubbly parts of the tank, but they spread out over the air stones where it's too bubbly. The roots also seems to like to interlink and join up with nehbouring plants .. I couldn't really see it on my last grow as the roots...

It's hard to say but your clay balls look really really dry... I'm wondering if they are getting enough water? What's your EC and PH? There are too many ways to measure PPM, so I perfer to just go with EC as a measure of salts/ferts

Airstones and bubbles don't really make much noise in my experience, it's the pump noise.

If it aint broke, don't try to fix it. It's far easier to cause problems by messing with things too much and being obsessed with little things and then over-compensating trying to correct things.
