    Pinkie Pie!!!!

I'm pretty sure you're doing more work stabilizing this strain, than most commercial breeders. Definitely looking forward to the final product(s).

What's The Best Way to Make Autoflowering Seeds?

Can either of you guys post some links or pictures or something to back what you're saying? If you are right, I'd like to read more about it, since it is the opposite of almost everything I've read about auto breeding.

What's The Best Way to Make Autoflowering Seeds?

No. It DOES matter that the autoflowering trait is recessive, and none of the f1's will be autoflowering, as a result. That's what recessive means. That when paired up with a dominant trait (photoperiod) it will not show. A plant can be a carrier of the auto trait, without autoflowering, and...

What's The Best Way to Make Autoflowering Seeds?

The autoflower gene is recessive. When you cross a dominant gene with a recessive one, the recessive one gets hidden in the f1 generation. AA (photo) x aa (auto) = Aa (photo het. for auto) Cross those offspring, and you'll get some autoflowers.

    A Guide To Colloidal Silver

Thank you, and you're welcome. No problem. Let me see how I can help out. To help better understand the problem, the following questions need answers: 1. Did the CS you made "burn" the plant, or cause crinkled leaves, or any other deformities/damages? 2. Were there still pistils growing...

Mine-lining or manifolding without removing leaves

I meant not leaving the bottom fan leaves. You CAN, but I don't think they will be of much benefit. Mainlining to 64 should be pretty awesome, but you'll need a big pot to support such a big plant.

Epic Fail LST... Main Stem Split

Zipties can constrict the plant if left on tightly for too long while it is still growing, but once you start to get fully into flowering mode, the stems don't get that much thicker. During veg, you'll have to be a lot more attentive to any ties and wires you may have wrapped around the stems tho.

Mine-lining or manifolding without removing leaves

That should be ok, but you'll have to pick off the axillary buds (the little growth buds between the top of the leaf petiole and the stem it's attached to). I probably wouldn't do it tho, because the wide canopy will block out most of the light that those fan leaves would absorb, and also...

Epic Fail LST... Main Stem Split

Those zip ties look pretty good. Should help keep it all snug. ESP if under tape. The reason I suggest trying to finish up lst before the first week of flower or so, is because new growth is very flexible and can be bent pretty far before breaking. Once it starts flowering, the stems tend to...

Epic Fail LST... Main Stem Split

Tape is better than just a tie, because you want the wound to be pressed together so no air gets in and causes it to dry up. If that happens, it won't heal normally. Also, you should probably try to get all your lst done before the plant is in full owner mode.

Feminizing with DIY Colloidal Silver - Kosher and Tangie

What does your spray look like after being strained, and what do the plants that have been sprayed look like after a week or so? Ideally, it should be clear, and not have any particles floating around that are visible to the naked eye. Also, you don't have to exceed 20ppm using a TDS meter...

    ReVeg Justin Beiber Impressed

Why do you want to use hermie pollen on other plants. The seeds will just be given the same hermie (low stress tolerance) trait. While a hermie can have its pollen sacs picked off, and still have the female buds consumed, using the pollen to make seeds isn't the best idea.

    Creating True F1's (Help Me! :o )

How many generations have you gone through, and in which generation is your currently most updated batch? What monogenetic traits are you trying to stabilize, and how are you attempting to do so (ei f1 > f7, f1-f3 then backcross, etc)? Agreed. IMO, if you don't have a plant that produced...

    Dutch Passion- Think Different.

I agree that if grown well, people can't tell the difference between which strains are auto and which aren't if all mixed up in nameless containers. Also, those auto's are awesome! The Candy Kush is MASSIVE! Which is your favorite?

    Creating True F1's (Help Me! :o )

I did notice that he said "randomly selected populations". If you want to get seeds who's offsrpgin will all be purple, you can do so within 3 generations, but they will probably be heterozygous for other traits at that point as well. So while you may have a genetic line with a true breeding...

    Creating True F1's (Help Me! :o )

Yea, f1 seeds are all uniform, but aren't good indicators of what all the offspring will look like, even when selfed (it's a weird concept to grasp at first). You get a pretty big droppoff in variety witgh the f3 and f4 offspring, but still noticeable if you grow out 5-10 of them. By f7-8 you...

    Creating True F1's (Help Me! :o )

F1 just means first generation. Any reason you want to breed two f1's together? For what you said, you can go two ways. Option 1: (Father x Mother) x (Father#2 x Mother#2) = f1's They will be uniform looking, but will have a bunch of different phenotypes when used for breeding, or inbred to...

What's The Best Way to Make Autoflowering Seeds?

Ignore this guy. Anyone who thinks auto's suck just can't grow them well. The best way to get autoflowering seeds is to buy either a strain that is regular (male and female seeds), or a fem strain and use CS or some other reversing agent to make fem seeds. If you cross an auto with a regular...
