    Temperature Fluctuations

For what it is worth, I have grown in near 100 degree environments (which at the time made more sense than dropping 400 watts out of the lighting system, everything is a compromise).. Keep the air moving and circulated, you'll be fine. Not optimum of course, but what it the world is. Problem is...

    Is this bud smokable? (pics)

As long as they aint rotten and that is just a descriptive of the color of the seeds pods.. pull a few seeds and have a look.. when they are done, she will mostly be done.. she certainly wont make much thc or continue to grow once the seed production and maturity has halted. Those are just my...

    Is this bud smokable? (pics)

Grow it to maturity and enjoy those seeds.. I'd not only use the seeds, i would be glad with the smoke. Nothing wrong with a good seeded smoke now and then.. just make sure to not smoke the seeds.. heh..

Keeping 'em Short. indoor florescent grow

Ya.. one plant.. I start LSTing from clone or seed, the second it has enough of a root to support the first bend.. roughly 7 days after I have it first established in soil. I establish a height I want the plant to flower at (about 6-8 inches, and I tie down every shoot that pops up past that...

Keeping 'em Short. indoor florescent grow

Right on.. looks good.. maybe could go a bit (lot) closer to the light, with that bulb you can probably get it within 3 inches without any worries.. keeps em shorter that way.. but ya, looks great. Good luck~!

    Is this worth harvesting

As it will dry rather quickly, I might get a diluted rubbing alcohol (4 water, 1 part alcohol) solution and hit it with it to knock down those mites.. just to 'control' them for a few weeks.. Good luck mate~!

    Is this worth harvesting

Pffffft.. I've smoked and ate worse.. I mean c'mon.. you grew it.. you are not going to take the time to consume it? It's just grass.., so what if it aint the perfect solution, ANY grass when you have no grass (if yuo like grass) is like manna from heaven. you BETTER harvest it meeester.

    Light advice?

It's fine and safe to use MH for seedling.. Although it is a bit wasteful, it is not not very resourceful, efficient or cost friendly. A single 26 watt CFL will take a a few seedlings respectfully and well into two weeks of solid growth.. 26 watt compared to 1000 watt to see little initial...

Spider mites near harvest time... What to do??

I concur.. often when people think it is neem (or other) reducing the mites, it is actually just because they are drowning/killing them regardless of the neem. Neem is fine, I have had about exactly the same results using plain water.. if I am well into bud I use a bit of ISO alcohol in the...

    Prices Rape People, Not People

Ya, rough gig I know.. I haven't spent a penny for a bag of grass in a few decades. Wait.. there was once, in between harvest. that was the bag that convinced me to never buy again (providing I can help it). My hobby through the years has been to grow some of the finest strains on the planet...

Nutes besides grow, micro, bloom. big bud, bud candy, tarantula ect. r they worth it?

Not to discount the value of a good product.. And there are many.. I am more out to discount so many of them that are NOT any better than their less expensive counterparts.

Nutes besides grow, micro, bloom. big bud, bud candy, tarantula ect. r they worth it?

I've grown for years in lots of different mediums experimenting all the way.. I can afford to, and wouldn't hesitate to get any product I honestly felt was going to give me superior results to what I am doing. I use all purpose Miracle Grow or Jacks (or comparable) for veg, and their bloom...

    Light advice?

It's all relative.. I only pull out my MH if it is winter and if I am in some kind of hurry, and then I am darn glad to have it. That said, under CFL my Veg is ALWAYS faster than my flower.. What's the rush on veg? My CFL's keep almost perfect time with my flowering, producing plants just...

    Soil is drying too slowly....

No need to feed them..; your moist soil (assuring it is good aerated soil) still has the nutrients you fed last time, or the time before that.. little uptake of water means little uptake of the nutes already there.. unless they look downright hungry (and even then so), I wouldn't pay it another...

    best cfl's for flowering?

This takes us back to lights.. Take that one big girl and surround her with 250 watts of CFL or so (and the extra light bouncing around you can stick other plants around whatever you have space left over, but focus about 250-300 watts on that one plant, if you told me in 2 months (or so) she...

    did something very stupid!!!!need help

Sorry.. I mean PULL out the blue spectrum.. as in if you have any 5000-6500k CFL or MH etc, use them until you can see you have established new growth.

    did something very stupid!!!!need help

Rinse them with clean water, pull them farther away from the lights, bull out any Blue spectrum bulbs you have, and let them heal. Only clear non nuted water until you see new growth take. That's what I would do.

    Light advice?

Hell, if you are already set up and running with floro's and are strapped for cash, buy more 6700k CFLS... They will get the job done well enough. Just one thought.

what kind of quality can i expect with my cfl grow?

If you grow it to it's potential (even in that lower light environment), it will be as good as the strain allows. Potency has little/nothing to do with CFL or HID or LED (spectrum is MUCH more important), however the plant will need to be healthy and tended to well to achieve the maximum...

Is it okay to let the soil dry up before you water your plant again?

Watering dry (as in totally dry) soil in a potted plant with nuted water promotes burning and is stressful on the system. You durn near can 'cook' a plant this way if yer not careful.
