You're good. Sounds like you're doing everything right. Make sure you pick up a TDS and pH pen at the local store. It's expensive, but worth it. And yes, you'll still need pH up and pH down.

Just grab a power head. They add air, and circulate the water super style. Or just grab a cheapie air pump and a couple of stones.

LOL, you obviously haven't been reading enough. YES YOU HAVE TO USE A BALLAST! HID lighting doesn't run at 120V or else you COULD just plug it in to the wall. That, and they utilize (at least the newer digital ballasts do) much higher frequencies than stock electricity from your house.

Yes. They're called bloom additives. Nothing along the lines of steroids though, just different nutrients in different amounts that make plants do tricks.

Try asking the people at the grow store! They're the only ones who know what they're selling, and they're definately going to know what works for your kind of setup.

The thing you're looking for in lights are lumens, which will be displayed when you buy the bulb. Trust me though, if you want to stay away from HID, and don't want to use CFL, go with T5 flouros. They blew my mind the first time I plugged my set in. Expensive, but worth it in a huge way.

The only local *quality* seeds you're going to get are from a friend who got them online. Sorry. You could always try to grow some bag seed and see what you get, a lot of people have pretty good results with that actually.

I don't know about genes, but there's something up with it. Our plants oscillate between odd and even-numbered (but freakishly small last one, like yours) blades. It's random, healthy, and perfectly ok.

Lol, or not really, about the talking to yourself. I'd top it early and put one shoot in the middle (and curve it a little if you need extra time) and finish the circle with the other. Just a thought.

Doubt it, since HPS is supposed to be best. My guess is there's a base line of spectrum emmisions, and MH or HPS just accentuate that with additional blue/red spectrum lumens.

Yea, could be self pollinated, or it could be a male of the same strain that wasn't removed early enough, in which case it would be "pure" afgoo. Or it could be some scwagg weed that was around. Either way, have fun and hope it's a female.
