1st Grow DWC 400watt growbox LST

Having grown mainly in pots with soil in my backyard, I have decided to try with a hydroponics set up like yours. Plants are looking good so far, hoping to see a bumper crop at the end! Looking forward to seeing the photos. Defo subscribing, need all the tips I can get!

Just added 10ml Per Gallon of 3% H202 to my res. as a preventative because some of my roots are slightly dark in color, mostly due to the liquid Karma I think. So hopefully this helps them out alot. The hindu Skunk is still showing yellowing in the older bigger leaves and isnt growing much, but lots of root growth still. I'll Post a picture in a while. An idea's about what my problem may be at the moment? I took out 4 gallons from the res. and replaced with 4 gallons of PH balanced water, because I think my nutes were a little too strong.

The liquid karma stained the shit outta my roots. Also, don't use H2O2 right after adding liquid karma, the h2o2 will kill the beneficial bacteria in it. Good luck. =)

Yeah, it makes it hard to tell the healthyness of my roots. it mostly comes off them with clean water, either way. i wont be using it anymore, at least not for my next 2 res changes.

I used LK on thursday during my res change, today i Added 2tablespoons per gallon of H202. should be ok right?

not really sure, I would say it's fine since I did the same thing a bunch of times before I knew better.( and before I stopped using LK)

Ok cool, well i'll be changing the res in a few days anyways without the LK, just trying to prevent any root rot or bacterial slime. Seems like the LK isnt a great thing at this point in the grow, but i keep hearing its good to use in flowering, so I'll probably go back to using it in flowering. Everyone says they used it at one point just dont like the darkness is causes.

ya im subscribed to....but ya i used it at the beginning and then changed my mind about using it....roseman says if ur gonna use it...throw it in, in small amounts the day b4 a drain and replenish...but then i just decided to do away with it till flowering..and even then im prob gonna do what roseman said....looks good tho man we got like the exact same setup cept i dont have that badass grow box u made...its looking good man. u having anymore problems? seems like i got root rot or bacterial slime from a light leak or something...i was to l8 to use h2o2 but now im using alil of it in both res'es pretty much on the regular just in case. how u like ur 400 MH..just got one similar urs will handle MH or HPS correct? im glad we went that route instead of gettin 2 enclosures and 2 ballasts lol

sweet dude, yah im subscribed to your thread, but i dont remember if i commented you or not. lol i like ur set up and reading yours cuz we are similar. lol. Ill keep that in mind about what roseman says. im gonna stop the LK for 2 weeks forsure. then in flowering do what roseman said like ur gonna do. yah i saw our set up is the same, what u in a closet or something though? haha i love my growbox. :) ty for that compliment. No problems other than the one of my plants took a while to root, but roots took off now. but it has some yellowing in the leaves. i feel like its a nute def or nute lockout? idk. maybe it just has to do with it trying to get started. ill post an update soon. my other plant has NO problem at all. its a beast lol. i saw that u had those problems. and since we are running the same stuff kinda, i got scared. lol thats why i covered my net pots now and put a lil H2O2 just in case. like u said. haha.

yeah i got an MH conversion bulb, and then in flowering im switching to the HPS. shits bright as hell. lol how to you manage ur heat? cuz it gets pretty hot. i had a hard time with the temp at 1st but then i got used to it and learned to cool my system properly.

Ok, so still good and bad news. Kind of.
The hindu skunk is still showing yellowing in the bigger and older leaves idk why, i thought nute burn but i lowered it alot, i also thought maybe because its been struggling to get its roots down, and ive since then added the feeder tubes. any thoughts or opinions of whats wrong with it? (pic included) I'm doing most everything I can think of as well as hoping now that there is more roots comming out itll just fix.
Good news, Put H202 in my water just incase, not much of it. Finally got a thermometer for my res. 72-70 with lights on . 65 lights off.
I also put covers over the tops of the hydroton.
Best news of all. like 4 or 5 more new roots are showing and the other ones go reallllyy long! :)

Idk how well you can tell, but the ones up front are very yellow, especially around all the edges.

Yeah I would say it's a little bit of an overdose on nutes but it should look better shortly since you already took steps to fix the problem. Otherwise, looking great. Keep it up!

Also, this morning i was inspecting the roots looking at the growth and the longest root on the Hindu Skunk (The last picture above) it had no lateral roots up to a point but was still ridged where some were going to be maybe? but now I checked and the bottom 2 inches or that did contain lateral roots fell off, why is this? Does that mean anything? damage? signs that there may be small amounts of root rot?

I really needa change my res. i changed it thursday but i think i will change it tomorrow due to the fact that i really want to get that LK out of there completely and see whats up. as i will be switching to Flower on sunday.

yeah thats what i figured. so i will look into it, as well as probably start getting into transitional nutes to transition for flowering, OR change the res again when i switch to flowering.

ya u did comment...and yes it is ina closet...basically iv got 2-3 fans....i had 3 but then some of the plants died and now i dont need as many..but ya those fuking bulbs are REALLY bright and hott i actually accidently burned my hair leaning underneith it fucking with the plants hahahahahah. but basically we keep the ac on and keep one side of the closet door open and have one fan sittin outside of it and one inside blowing over the plants and the temps are fine. keep us updated
