congrads on the girl!!!!! It can herm one of mine did. but right now it is all girl!!! jmt I think ya could use a lil more airmovment in there..
I have just put an extractor in there, powerful one too, just need to put some ducting on it. The fan pulls fresh air in from the window but I will be flowering soon and need to exhaust the heat from my HPS as well as exchanging the air every few minutes.

It could be twins, this is a different plant. I think I can see at least one with balls too.

Oops I forgot the pics, here they are.

Oh this is Charlie by the way.
I don't understand how they are showing so soon when I haven't started flowering yet. Is this normal?

I'm going to build me a nice big :joint: and crack a beer.

Yeah I'm gonna veg it a little while longer, I might even keep Genie as a mother and not flower her at all. I am going to take some cuttings today, so far at least three of my gang are looking female and one possibly male, but my two biggest and best looking plants are both females Reeeeeeeeeesult!!.
So much for the theory I read somewhere that males are usually the bigger plants!

Happy 4th July to everyone over in the USA.
And Happy Friday to anyone who isn't and feels left out. :joint: :leaf:

I recommend the idea of mothering. Gets practice at cloning, and offers another crop without starting from seed and sexing.

Nice photo's. Some of mine had slight signs before flower, but as soon as i saw em i did the 36 hrs of darkness. Good sign though.

So far so good, it gets harder though lol, I just struck hermies on 2 out of 6 plants.

I agree with ob on the thought of mothering.. I wish I had done some cloning and kept a mother with my grow but I ran out of space and cash. if you can do it would be great practice to clone.

Yes I need to do that. Especially as I have just noticed this on H. He just shot up a couple of inches the last couple of days.

That's definitely a boy isn't it?
There is one ball on each side of the stem. Is it worth cutting them off or does he just go straight to the knackers yard?

I know from experince that it is hard (at least for me) to get clear very close up pics with out blur...
Yes the trick I use is to put my camera to max (8 mega pix) and then get as close as you can take the pic.
Now that's just a normal photo.
Next, you open it in windows, zoom in as close as you can, crop it and save. Bobs your uncle, 1 decent close-up from a cheap camera.

yea that is what I have been doing, My camrea has 10 megapixals and when I get it right, it looks great! examples in my journal... but its hard for me, most of them are to blurry to be worth a damn...

On your camera, if you click on menu look for "focus zone" default is usually "multi zone" select "centre" instead.
Also, look for "macro" the icon is usually a flower, thats for close-ups. If you have an option called "exposure metering" select "centre weight "or "centre spot" the other thing I do is set "sharpness" on high - default is "normal".
If you have already done those things then I'm not sure what else to suggest.

lol Ive done the macro, and center foucus spot over the multi zone. I have not explored the exposure metering but I am sure there is a setting for it. nor have I messed with the sharpness.. thanks for the suggestions! we will see later tonight when i take pics...

wow good tips, i just learned the one about shooting in the dark, and i think it improves the photo. Its soo crazy how much you learn on this site, growing, photography, news, politics, how to squish your own applejuice, crazy...

If you take them with the lights on, try to get the camera between the light and the plant so the light is behind the camera, it will stop the flash going off too. You take good pics anyway, OB.

If you want to edit a picture just right click the image in your PC then select preview, then you can zoom in and crop. Works great.

I think the detail on this is great, I'm not sure about the purple stripes everywhere. It looks like it's come out of a toothpaste tube haha'
No seriously, about half of my plants have those purple stripes, I'm sure I read somewhere that it is a nutrient deficiency but can't recall where I read it.

Thanks for stopping by OB.
