Are your trains running this morning ?
Trains are in operation today, except for Copley. There is some congestion in the South Station/Gov. Center area of the subway.. but only a 10 min delay.

There are however, tons of national guardsmen and police detail everywhere, on the streets, in the subways, etc.. pretty surreal scene..

Nothing like coming up on your stop, looking out, and seeing men in shock-trooper black uniforms, toting automatic weapons, and REAL assault rifles.

Did you get to see the K-9 units that have MP5k as primary weapon?

At one train, that ends at an airport, there were HS officers stationed, they were wearing Israeli Arms Uzi subs as "sidearms," and what looked like ARs in their hands. K9s were strapped, also. If our solders and Marines had as much lightweight armor as was represented on that platform, I'm sure fatalities would be WAY down.

I don't really recognize modern guns... So, I might have, I noted that the dogs were wearing "vests" and strapped.

the MP5k is the silenced version of the MP5, which is the auto-9mm that looks like this:

I was driving up and down the state yesterday and didn't hear about it till 6:30 and then I just caught the tail end of obama saying, "Justice will be served" and the reporter saying "More on the Boston Bombing later".

Naturally, I thought the Fed Building seeing how it was tax day, and I too, was upset about that.

Then I hear stocks drop some 260 pts. or something and think, Hmm anybody sell a bunch of stocks yesterday?

Talking with my brother who is in the military, he hopes now they wont cut the military too much. This makes me wonder if it wasn't one of our own, wanting to be spared a layoff.

One thing for sure, who ever did it was a sick f***.

i shot an mp5.. they are fairly inaccurate. m4a1 is the legit shit. marksmen. yep.
Mil-spec barrel for CQC/CQB.. and it wipes out a room, especially if the other operator has something with a big/longer range and you're doing multiple room clearing w/a wide hallway.. wouldn't ever trust it for longer range, agreed.

Silas I wasn't attacking you, it was a legitimate question.

Ironic and that pic have nothing in common without context, if you were to state that the pic is of the bomber's son {keeping with in theme of the thread} then I could see the irony.

If that was, in fact, the youngest victim, than it's not irony. It's a sad state of confession that his fear was justified.

Ohhh, think I got it.

They did mention there was an 8 year old boy who was one of the bombing victims, maybe that was a pic of him about to go to the streets after Sandy?
