Still not buying the climate change hype...true, this is an opinion article - but the OP has cited quotes from the scientists who admitted he lied, so that his study would get published. Link to the MSN article below

our world is changing ever so slightly that some people don't notice till it to late.....like where i'm at who would have thought it would be over 100 for 75 days in a row, who would have thought that we would have been in the 90's for some 90 day's in a row. Who would have thought that in 2021 a massive snow and ice storm would come down so far south, that it would almost destroy a power grid and kill thousands.....just a few things....

In 1975, Newsweek predicted an ice age, in an article called "The Cooling World". Now, it's global warming...in 2006, Al Gore claimed that global warming was "boiling the oceans"...there were other predictions that the eastern seaboard would be underwater!!! OMG, *greenhouse gasses*!!!! (excuse me, I just farted...I tried to take it back, but...too late!)

Let me know when China, Russia and India and every other country in the world do their part. We'll talk then.

Actually, not only do the wind turbines use oil, they are dangerous to birds and bats (the ones out in the country, east of use, eat bugs that could devastate crops - there are entire sections of counties that have voted to keep wind turbines out of their agricultural areas! You should research.
Ok I did my own rezurch and came up with this:

Seriously though, you're missing the point. None of the solutions used to curb climate change, reduce emission, pollution and damage to the environment, are going to be perfectly clean and harmless. It's like you're given the option to replace lung cancer with a common flu and you're like but the flu makes me cough too. Labeling climate change as a hype implies the suggestion nearly 100% of all the actively publishing scientist are pushing a hype and are all in cahoots, with themselves and politicians. Doesn't sound plausible does it. Plus it would mean I imagined all those years of ice skating and building snow dolls.

Let me know when China, Russia and India and every other country in the world do their part. We'll talk then.
China is doing their part... Your fallacious argument has been addressed many times over.

I don't see the relevance of Al Gore. Didn't he invent the internet as well?

no one can truely predict what and how it's gonna happen, but it is happening on a scale that which we as humans can't understand atm, we are loosing ice shelves both in the north and the south. Sea waters are rising, we can see that with data out of the south pacific, and also in the indian ocean. Weather pattern are also changing and this is throughout the world. Just some people choose not to see it, and that's ok....for the people who do, well it's one day at a time.....currently i'm watching Iceland, there about to have another volcano birth.....

We've learned a bit more in the past 30 years and there is a scientific consensus on the subject backed up by multiple paths of evidence. If things continue as they are sea level rises are predicted as the polar ice sheets melt, it's simple math and expected over the next 100 years.
China is a leader in green technology and wants to sell it to the world, India is rapidly catching up in the green game, tropical countries will benefit the most from cheap solar. Russia is in deep shit and getting the snot beat out of themselves in Ukraine, won't be converting anytime soon, but they are a population of only about 150 million. Most of the world's population lives is tropical or temperate climates and will benefit the most from cheap solar, buying oil is expensive for most countries that don't have any.

We will change primarily for economic reasons as we always do, solar is the cheapest form of power generation and it is about to get even cheaper.

The future of energy in America

After decades of promises and disappointments -- renewable energy sources are finally taking hold in America. Vijay Vaitheeswaran, the global energy and climate innovation editor for The Economist, joined Prime Time to discuss what the future holds.

Australia has a bright future with solar and sits on top of a lot of iron ore and green hydrogen means green steel. I figure economics will make the biggest impact on the green transition and the private sector will lead the way, because the developing technology is changing the economic landscape.

Can renewable energy turn Australia into a global superpower? | 60 Minutes Australia

Not only are mining magnate Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest and tech whizz Mike Cannon-Brookes Australia's two richest men, the multi-billionaires also claim to be alchemists. They boast they can turn green into gold; that the technology is now available to produce all of the energy the world needs from renewable sources like wind, solar, and even hydrogen. What's more it's not cost prohibitive, it makes economic sense. And with the greatest supply of these resources on the planet, Forrest and Cannon-Brookes reckon instead of Australia being a climate villain, very soon we'll be a green energy super power. Prices will fall and the planet will be saved from burning to a crisp.

Not in Alberta. Just recently our conservative right-leaning gov't put a 7 month moratorium on renewable energy projects leaving billions of investment dollars hanging and likely to go elsewhere. It's glorious leader, Danielle Smith, is fighting with Ottawa over it's carbon tax and climate protection goals not to mention trying to open more coal mines on the eastern slopes of the Rockies that will be operated by foreign, (mainly australian), companies with most of the profits leaving the province like it is with electrical production here.

She's a piece of work alright.

Not really surprising when you take her other actions and statements into context. If Albertans want to give up government healthcare and fall behind the green revolution while giving up their pension fund to a bunch of wall street speculators, who am I to argue? Good luck selling or exporting tar sands oil in 5 years or so, depending on the political situation in the States and investment in that sector should dry up soon. We will get regressive governments in Canada and America, and we could get a regressive federal one in Canada soon if people are stupid enough to elect the Tories and Peepee as PM. It shouldn't threaten democracy though like in America, even though he might be an asshole, it doesn't work like that in Canada.

It's getting pretty f'ed up here for sure. Don't see much about giving up gov't health care tho. I do get an Alberta gov't boost to my OAS of about $350/mth plus free Blue Cross along with the free basic medical that all Albertan's get.

Something that alarms me is the recent ingress of the Take Back Alberta party into the UCP caucus. We were already becoming maga north when Jason Kenney had the reins and now looking to swing even further right with the BS happening now. :(

Our only hope is that the NDP get another kick at the can in the next election but Smith and co. could do a lot of damage between now and then.

Climate fanatics seem to thing EV's are the answer...except - those batteries are made with Lithium. When they catch fire, which sometimes they do, inexplicably, they produce toxins that are FOREVER CHEMICALS!! Check out some of the issues facing Ohioans (won't go into details here). Suffice it to say that IT IS NOT THE PANACEA that they wish it to be!
well iceland had a few changes come there way, seems they might have another Volcanic event coming in the north where the rest of the new ones are......we shall see...

crack from the air you can see visably....

video from the ground

earthquake swarms have been happening every day since the 10th.......if something happens it will prolly be where the other new volcanos erupted....
But the town is leading in geothermal heating.

I see the anti-climate change bunch are sharing disinformation on how much CO2 the volcano emits, humans emit 100 times more CO2 every year than all the volcanos on the planet.
they are, most aren't paying attention to they're surroundings, or they're off a blog to blog somewhere getting they're info...it's really kinda of stupid if u ask me. I've lived in Tx all my life, so i've had time to pay attention to whats around me. For instance the butterfly migration.....this year i did see it, and if i did see some it was very far and few between, you can also see it in the animal life...this year was the first year i put out multiple animal watering areas so local animals in my area have the ability to get water from a safe source.....when it comes to Volcanic stuff did you know there are 2 in active stages right now, one in mexico, and one in sicily go off atm. The iceland one will prolly be next in the coming days.....me and the wife haven't been down to the coastal region in a while to see what's happening there........

Climate change is here and prompting unprecedented actions in every state to curb the greenhouse gas emissions fueling warming temperatures, but a new federal report out Tuesday says bigger, bolder steps are needed.

After several years of work by more than 500 authors from every state, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam, the White House released the massive Fifth National Climate Assessment.

In remarks Tuesday morning, President Joe Biden announced more than $6 billion to bolster the electric grid, update water infrastructure, reduce flooding, and advance environmental justice.

"This assessment shows us in clear scientific terms, that climate change is impacting all regions, all sectors of the United States," Biden said. "We’ve come to the point where it’s foolish for anyone to deny the impacts of climate change anymore."

Among the noted effects:
◾ The number of nights with minimum low temperatures at or above 70 degrees has increased compared to 1901-1960 in every corner of the country except the northern Great Plains and Alaska.
◾ Average annual precipitation is increasing in most regions, except the Northwest, Southwest, and Hawaii.
◾ Heavier precipitation events are increasing everywhere except Hawaii and the Caribbean.
◾ Relative sea levels are increasing along much of the coast, except for Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
◾ In the 1980s, the country experienced on average a $1 billion disaster every four months but now experiences one every three weeks. This year, the country has set a new record with 25 billion-dollar disasters.
