Day 10 (Jar cure)

58-61-64-66 today. The one that is 66% I took everything out and let it sit out for 15 minutes. The 64% I left open for about 10 minutes, and the other two I left open for 5 minutes.

I will continue to post these until Day 14 or two weeks. Then i'll probably just post updates every week. Or I may continue, we shall see.

Day 11 (Jar cure)

57-61-63-65 today. Opening them for 5 minutes. I'm still smoking the bottom portion of the main cola that I had to chop off for it to fit in a jar. It has been in my small glass container that I keep my daily smoke. It has been curing for almost 2 weeks now in that jar, lol. The texture is real nice now, not moist where it sticks to your fingers and you can feel it. but not dry where it crumbles into ash. I've been using the grinder for this, but this was the first time I tried breaking some up with my fingers.

Smoke report.... still no taste, potency seems to be getting better.

Day 13 (Jar cure)

58-61-63-64. I am going to start burping them twice a day instead of just once. I like where they are at, just experimenting really. Using this is a learning experience for the next round.

Day 14 (Jar cure)

Removed everything this morning and weighed even amounts into each jar. I now have 3 jars, each with 28 grams of bud in it. During this process, I removed the 62% Boveda packs. I jarred them up without the packs for 12 hours, when I got home they were at 61-60-60. I burped them for 15 minutes and then put them back up.

I'm going to monitor the RH without the boveda. If it drops below 50 I will put the boveda pack back in the jar.

Day 21 (Jar cure)

It's been 3 weeks since I jarred this hermie bitch up. I removed the boveda 62% packs a week ago. Today, the RH of the 3 jars was sitting at 58-58-57. I've been burping them 1-2 times a day. Every few days I dump everything out and let it sit for a few minutes. Still 28 grams in each jar, 3 ounces total.

The smoke is tasteless. I've been smoking some out of the bong. Seem to get pretty high taking bong rips. It's not the most potent buds, so it's easy to take nice rips on the bong.

Day 28 (Jar cure)

This plant has been curing for 4 weeks now. RH sitting at 56-56-57. I've been opening jars for about 5 minutes once a day for the past week. I took all the buds out and let them sit out for 5 minutes one day. They are in a perfect zone for me considering it will take months for all this to be smoked.

It's not the most potent (hermie bitch), so I tend to just smoke it when I first get home from work and weekend morning smoke. If I see it getting too dry i'll throw in some boveda packs.

75% of the white hairs on the plant have red tips. I've noticed it the last 48 hours, so i'm guessing this is its final push before the end. Watering again today with just h2o.

Day 42 (jar cure)

Sorry for the lack of updates and thanks @Hot Diggity Sog for the kind words.

6 weeks of curing is complete. Boveda packs are still not being used. RH has maintained at 55-55-56 for the 3 jars. 1 jar has the main cola and 2 real nice solid nugs i'm saving. I still have a jar completely full of smaller popcorn that has a lot of seeded buds. This will probably just be saved as a reserve jar for emergency (lol) or maybe even turned into some bubble hash. The 3rd jar is the one i'm smoking off and it is down to about 14g. Mostly mid sized nugs. The smoke still has no taste, but it gets the job done.

All in all, i'd say it was worth finishing the hermie plant. Sure, if I had other photo plants in there it might have been different, but if you are in my same situation i'd say just finish. Turns out it didn't pollinate my GSC auto that grew right next to it, so that's a plus. I had a grow 10 years ago where a hermie photo also finished next to another photo female that ended up with 0 seeds. So it's possible to finish the hermie around another plant and not pollinate. I suffered a small loss in potency and probably yield, but it's still decent quality.

I'm kinda in the same situation as you mine hermied week 2 of flower but I finished and chopped it 3 days ago. But my question is your main colas full of seeds?? Most of the lower nugs on mine where full of seeds but my main coals got huge and don't look to be seeded.

Possible thats where it hermied. I don't believe i've had a hermie before, but believe bud areas can individually be stressed to make the seeds.

Ya I'm hoping all my main coalas arent seeded. I'm only on day 2 of hang drying. But that was from a random bag seed. I just got real genetics from dark horse genetics the strain is Gamma Berry. Which is bruce banner #5 × strawberry diesel. It will be my first run without a bag seed.lol

Day 112 (jar cure)

Update @ 16 weeks. This weed has been left alone for the most part. My GSC plants have been finishing nicely and I've had basically an unlimited supply of that. So I haven't even touched this smoke in a few months.

It definitely has a lower potency, or I would find myself smoking this more often. Here's a pic of the main cola, haven't even touched it.
