I like that term "foolishly" territorial, and know what you mean... I can't believe how fast this little guy is growing. Gotta get him in and weigh him. At 8 weeks he was just shy of 6kg or 13lbs. He's 10.5 weeks now and I'm guessing he's nearing 20 lbs now.

Seen this picture in person a few times in Northern BC and Alberta. Once, fishing in the river just off the highway. Wish I had a camera back then.

Have a good day all.

Don't you have a scale at home? I just step on the scale... remember the number, pick up a cat and step on it again. Quick pet scale. :) My biggest guy is 23 lb / 10.5 kg.

That's a great idea but believe it or not, we don't. Even if we did, I wouldn't be able to do it for long. I just picked him up and he must have gained a pound since this morning. I don't know why we don't have one, just never have.

Pits are such great dogs... they just need TLC like every other dog out there. I was just watching a great documentary on them last night, too. Cannot remember the name, though.

Your pup is cute as hell, Duch. Great pics of him, too. I can tell you're really liking your new rig! ;)

Believe it or not, we have breed specific legislation in my province that bans Pit Bulls. Idiots!

Bobo, I can't even believe what I just did. Yesterday I applied for mature student loan and today I submitted my application for a two year, full time diploma course in photography. The school confirmed that there are openings for this January's start and as long as my funding/loan app goes through I'm going to be a full time pickture takerer stoodent! lol I'm so stoked right now! Had to come on and share.

Cheers!!!

HELL YEAH DUCHIE!!!!! SO psyched for you. It's hard to take that plunge, but you'll be psyched you did. You'll be a force to be reckoned with at the end of it all. Hell, I bet after just a course or two you'll be more dangerous behind that lens. Keep the good news rollin' fella!

Have you gone to the doc yet?
No. I have that appointment at the beginning of January, not that it's going to make any difference other than the fact that I asked, like so many of us Canucks. The governments at it again though. Even though they are still waiting on and Appeals Court decision on a ruling that deemed the system here unconstitutional, they still are releasing their new proposed changes. Basically, they are getting out of the growing business, turning it over to commercial but they are talking away the homegrowers and/or their designated growers. There's going to be a shit storm about it I'm sure. Here's a RIU thread about it. https://www.rollitup.org/canadian-patients/600330-new-mmar-laws.html

How are you doing anyway bro? Just been ducking in and out lately so not getting to any other threads. I'll pop by and look for some news.

Thanks Bobo. It's really last minute. I was originally just going to do a part time evening course over a couple of years for a certificate but then I called about getting a mature student loan, which will cover some living expenses too and got a pretty positive response so I applied. Then I checked to see availability for January and it was still open for app's so I applied there. Like I said, full time, 2 year Diploma course which really I'll be done spring of 2014. Thanks for the kind words too. I'm just hoping that maybe I can pick up some work here and there after a bit in school. Now that I'm thinking, I have a link I need to send you. Hang tight.

Just waiting for the Mrs to get home and I have to run some paperwork into the college this aft.

Congrats again man. Be careful with the student loans. I'm sure you'll be fine, but the school that I went to handed the out like candy to everyone, and there is a lot of talk that the student loan bubble from Sallie Mae is going to be the next financial bubble to pop. Lots of peeps defaulting because they can't get jobs after school, despite huge promises from the mother corporation to make 6 figures. That is just one man's experience, though. Everybody writes their own book.

If you ever have questions, too, feel free to hit me up. I've dealt with every in and out of this industry, the good, bad, and ugly.

Psyched brotha! :peace:

Don't know how student loans are handled down there but here they are done through the government. A portion is federal loan and the other is provincial and is paid back at 3.5%, starting 6 months after graduation, at whatever term up to nine years you choose. Also, for me and my age, I'm eligible to only have to pay back a maximum amount, which for me works out to less than 50% of the overall loan.

After seeing your work I definitely will take you up on that offer, thanks!

I found a good trick, took a class this semester so my student loans don't have to be paid for till Jan 2014. I guess they have to be paid off sometime though.

Things are good. Cold.

I (like most ppl) was cared of pits for a long time.
I had wifes familys pits around me quite a bit and realized they are nicer than most other dogs (esp chihuahuas).
I found an opportunity to get a used and abused/neglected pit.
Everyone told me that he will turn on me and eat my kids etc....
He is the nicest dog I have ever had, and has never even growled once at any of my family (except my brother whom I dont get along with).
Where I used to live all the neighbors allowed their very very young kids come and play with him in the yard unsupervised after seeing his docile temperament.
Where I live now I wont let any neighbors meet him, no exceptions.

We love our dog and hate the laws surrounding his breed!

Mine plays with our other dog, and she is like 10 lbs or less, and he never makes her cry, and they wrestle all over the house!

When they are in the backyard she gets on his back and sleeps lol.

We should all be like the animals. Without all the butt sniffing, ball licking stuff of course. Not that there's anything wrong with that. lol

So the bigger of the two hurdles have been cleared. Funding seems to have been approved so all I'm waiting for is the school to get my transcript, in order to complete my app, and approve me for the course! I was having my doubts that I'd be approved for the funding so I'm a little surprised right now, but mostly I'm a little numb. It was 1984 when I left high school. I've done lots of training classes and such since, but this is WAY different. I'm not near as concerned about getting approved for the course so I'm kinda celebrating now. I even cleaned my bong real good and did a nice bowl of Strawberry Sour Diesel. I am now reminded why it's important to keep a clean pipe. I've been feeling like I can't get high lately but I have a nice glow on now. :bigjoint:

I want to thank you guys for your kind words and support. That encouragement definitely had something to do with me taking the leap I needed.

Promise I'll have some gardening updates soon. I haven't forgotten them. The revegging is going good and they're taking good to their new homes and greening right up again. :peace:
